Hi I have generally enjoyed the banter on the forum but the bunch of up their own ass bell ends that have taken it upon themselves to belittle anyone that dont agree with. So I will make it as simple as their views and delete my profile and move on. I have a low tolerance of self superiority and idiots congratulations

Sorry, I caught myself and amended it.

I believe there is a link to the other thread within post 6 of this thread.

Anyway, thanks for being open to the idea of having a read of it, even if you still disagree you are at least being reasonable. I do think it’s a pertinent point that if you’re going to comment on something it’s good to know exactly what it is you’re commenting on but I also appreciate you’re point about how you read the forum doesn’t really allow that with ease.

Started off with a forum poster flouncing off the site and then a battle between good and evil but it lost its way a bit at the start of season 2.

Thanks. I'll probably save it for a box set binge during the second wave then. Hopefully no spoilers.

But i was commenting on the op. i wasn't commenting on other parts of the thread, otherwise i'd have joined that area of the thread.

And where has this person been a bigot if they don't appear elsewhere on the thread?

You were supporting the op. It wasn't an unbiased comment, you were firmly putting yourself on his side. And not only that, you were having a go at his detractors at the same time.

I've been on this site for less than half an hour today and have managed to deduce that the op previously made a bigoted inflammatory post (on another thread), got called up on it by others, then flounced about it. You just supported that flounce, indirectly supporting a bigot. And not in a measured, reasoned way, but fairly antagonistically. Did you mean to do that?

Therefore, this and other reasons make me believe your arguing skills are below average.

Sorry if this is a bit brief or jumbled, I just typed out a lengthy response only from my iPad to die before I could hit post so I’ve had to login on my phone which isn’t a great way to read or write on the forum.

I can see that I made an error when my eyes brushed across your post, I interpreted your original comment to be a signal that you were about to block me and that you requested I did the same to you. I was wrong, please accept my sincere apologies for this.

I won’t be blocking you as I don’t agree with that kind of censorship. I’m not sure it’s particularly adult to just ignore people when you don’t like what they say.
I will still be pointing out whenever I think you or any other poster has been a berk or made a spurious comment, however I fully expect other posters to correct me when I’m a berk or have got my facts wrong, just as you have here.

I reserve the right to not engage when I see fit but in my opinion everyone should have the right to at least put something to someone and be heard.

I haven’t changed my opinion on how on this occasion you’re on the wrong side of the debate and for rather odd reasons you’re siding with some of the most unpleasant posters on the board, but I do 100% concede with apologies that I misread your post re: ignoring me. My bad and well highlighted.

OK, appreciate all of that Libero, thanks - I would now like to shake hands (or should it be bump elbows!) draw a line under our previous hostilities and move on, you up for that?

I would also like just to clarify tho that I was not intentionally siding with "some of the most unpleasant posters on the board" (because of their racist or any other kind of bigoted attitudes, or general abusiveness). I was simply replying to what I thought was a general comment in the OP about what happens *generally* sometimes on the board, which comment I still think stands in its own right if taken purely on its own, without the need to refer to any other context - though of course I can see that that other context obviously applies *as well*, now it's been explained to me. You are of course free to disagree with any of the above!

Taking a break now. If it is the McGoldrick thread and bluebare comment on all lives matter

a) my opinion is 'black lives matter' is correct not 'all lives matter' in the context of what the situation is in this world today, it would only be 'all lives matter' in utopia

b) i don't really think it's racist to say otherwise, although it may be something a racist would say

c) i cannot believe how hidden away that is and how i am expected to not just read this thread but a link to another thread.

d) i stand by the point made by the op , playing the ball not the man, and this thread proves that singular point

if it is not that then will have a look later.

I just enjoy the fuss you make about these threads, you cried about a few of them making their way into the football chat yet you appear to always pop your bonce up at the end to make a snide remark in them even when placed in general.

I’ve had a pretty decent day enjoying my first Fathers Day drinking Ghost Ship like water, playing FM/Xbox and chatting to my mates via the headset and posting on the forum most of the day.

There were no “hostilities” in my book, you made a bit of a tit out of yourself, I and other posters highlighted it and you doubled down.

I’m aware of your stance, I still disagree with it, I just have no issues with admitting when I’m wrong and made sure I gave you the courtesy of an apology for my misread.

You have the correct thread, tried to signify that to you earlier with an upvote.

Thanks for taking the time to inform yourself. Appreciate we don’t fully agree and don’t have any desire to further debate the merits of our separate views.

I will however say that I do always attempt to play the ball while in discussion, I enjoy the discourse and it doesn’t matter to me what people’s politics are but that they are making pertinent points, with that said I’m not immune from a snide p1ss taking comment, so I get where you’re coming from.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday mate.

Thanks mate, It’s been lovely having a relaxing day doing whatever I want.
I wouldn’t say I’m arguing with anyone, I’m having discussions with people, not everything has to be so aggressively charged. I know some people aren’t as verbose and are a bit monosyllabic but I enjoy talking to people, even when I don’t agree with them.

How have you spent yours? Maybe next year I can hit the dizzy heights of texters!

Point D, if I understand you correctly, is nonsense. In this thread you played the man, not the issue.

Others in this thread, who argued against your points, had read the thread in question and were arguing about the issue.

You have not proven anything to a singular point.

The OP, even without the context, is rude, hypocritical and not in the spirit of a forum which exists to share and discuss opinions.

Dodgy views on race and corona? I think the BLM protests are an over-reaction, especially so in the context of corona, not sure that’s a ‘dodgy’ opinion

I’ve only just seen this

You’re more than welcome to present your argument, until you’ve had to stop someone from racially abusing the woman you love, I suggest you keep your opinion on the matter to yourself.

Over-reaction. You’re a bloody idiot. Your life hasn’t been made harder because of the colour of your skin or the country you are from, and you dare say the BLM is an over-reaction.

I would welcome introducing you to my son, just so I can “don’t grow up to be such a person, with such insular views.” Not that I ever think he would.
