I said the same thing on here about 3 years ago and got absolutely slaughtered.

There’s no way it’s a coincidence that we just miraculously get so many players come back from injury and then have a ‘setback’

I did as well. It's ridiculous.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.

Or if George Soros has been lurking in the Roy Keane Memorial Bushes?

I'm with you on this. Injuries happen in matches - perhaps especially so after a long lay-off. We are obviously acutely aware of injuries that occur to our players, but I suspect less aware when they occur to players of other teams. We do seem to have some bad luck - perhaps more than our fair share. But where injuries occur in matches - especially impact injuries - we can't really put blame on our sports science.

You and Bluefish think there's nothing we do off the pitch that might affect the players on it in terms of injuries?!?

What world are you guys living in?!

Hoping he still gets a chance when he comes back as he was looking a decent player, but if we get everyone back fit it looks unlikely.

“When I first started last season, in pre-season, I didn’t really feel myself. I was probably over-worked and I got injured (hamstring).”

Yeah, just bad luck eh.

We weren't talking about other times. We were talking about an injury sustained on the pitch and you attesting that's nothing to do with the sports science team, the way they're trained, or in fact that ANY fault can be attributed to the club.

If that's not suggesting injuries during matches have nothing to do with the club, I don't know what is!

That's slightly different to what he said: “I probably overworked and I got injured and then I just couldn’t get a rhythm, didn’t do myself justice.

Ah okay, that quote was taken directly from EADT so blame them! Still, the club should see if he is overworking and take action.

But I asked you about McGoldrick not AN Other player

Different physio team or not.....it's Ipswich Town Football Club ...sames club , same results ,same issues ...point being same investment or lack of..same owner

Likewise ...also think before typing

Cheers

Why focus on the negative (Didz)? I can't explain that, has he really not had injuries since he left? I haven't followed him that closely at Sheff Utd, he doesn't seem to score much, so assumed maybe he wasn't playing.

My point is, fans, especially ITFC fans, seem to only seen the negative angle. Sure its frustrating we have a lot of injuries, but so does everyone, especially at the moment.

I think we're beyond the point of bad luck, this is something that really needs to be looked at.

To be fair to them, they have looked at the area, obviously sports science is Lee O'Neill's area, and have added staff and improved facilities over the last couple of years, a lot of the work which went on at the training ground when PL came in was related to this.

Certainly think they're in a better place than they were a few years back and I think there is more concern with regard to players' loads and things like that than there was under Mick, for example, as the rotation last year illustrated. I don't think it's any coincidence that Sheffield United not starting David McGoldrick in pretty much every game when he is fit has meant he has stayed fitter for longer periods.

I'm aiming at the positive trust me , been a supporter for more than 45 years now so any positive I see I try for it

As for Didz , I live in Sheffield and he's playing...and playing well so my Blade supporting mates tell me

I just listened back to it just to clarify and my version is correct. Perhaps you're right, but also an onus on the player to say he's feeling like he's doing too much in those circumstances.

The club were p155ed off with Toto for that - muscle injury in pre season is pretty unacceptable and generally means he hasn't stretched and warmed up properly for it to go so badly in a routine game.
