I say, steady on old fellow
When a mob has got it’s gander up they don't want to hear reasoned argument
There's been plenty of reasoned argument.
One or two seem to prefer to ignore it and keep arguing about the *precise number* of instances of antisemitism within the Labour Party, rather than the plain fact of the EHRC coming out with a damning report of antisemitism within the LP at all.

Jesus f@cking wept.
It wasn’t the definition so let’s get that straight. You think opposing some of the IHRA examples is about “arrogance”?!!!
It’s about protecting the right to criticise a far-right government and its apartheid system. It’s about justice for a Palestinian population that is being slowly and methodically pushed to the margins so they either leave or fight and die.
But what did Dunt say about it?
Labour anti-Semitism row: As a left-wing socialist & green, and a supporter of Palestinian rights, I have no problem accepting full IHRA definition & examples. They do not prevent criticism of Israeli policy & if people try to use it for that purpose they are misinterpreting IHRA pic.twitter.com/I1QI45QYpZ

Jeez - "meaningless centrist commentators", "pre-packaged, empty opinion pieces", "how triggered people have been by challenging this particular piece of fluff", "It’s echo chamber crack" - etc
Pls have a listen to yourself. With advocates like you, no wonder people were put off voting Labour in Dec 19.
I don’t care how you vote. I do care how you look at the world objectively and at the facts rather than the fiction.
And, to be perfectly honest, I’m just really really annoyed that we’ve arrived at Ian Dunt as the prophet of the ages.
I don’t think I’ve ever felt so bereft of optimism for the future 😀

No idea, but no surprise which side of it you fell down on though.
If Labour wants to be seen as anti-racist then Starmer needs to stamp out anti-semitism with an iron fist. Like when he sacked Long-Bailey.
By pandering to anti-semites in his party and political life Corbyn allowed it to fester, it’s a good thing he has had the whip removed.
If cranks like you don’t vote Labour, then so be it - I suppose you did give Starmer all of about 3 days before you turned on him for not announcing policies in a pandemic so was a fair crack of the whip

Tatchell versus multiple academics and active critics of Israel? Hmmm.
But if we’re doing Golden Oldies, can we do requests? There was that one about some guy who was sort of involved in a conference and Corbyn was a speaker and then he became a sort of Hitler?
It’s going to bug me all evening.

"I don’t care how you vote."
And there we have it. I'd referred to the UK electorate generally, not myself (tho as it happens I held my nose & did vote Labour). By extrapolation, you didn't care how the UK population voted at the last election or what Govt. we'd get in practice, as long as you could hang on to your purist ideology whilst sitting in a minimalist room at the top of your ivory tower.

I gave Starmer much more than that. Part of my anger is because I feel duped.
The reason he hit the cyclist? He indicated left and veered right. Badum tish.
No offence Joe but you seem like a plastic politics fan who’s decided that he likes Keegan’s Newcastle.
And maybe you think I’m a non-league stalwart who’s never going to win anything? Personally, I think I’m Bundesliga trying to tell you about Klopp.
But, hey, good luck for the season ahead.

Probably because the allegations that led up to this report were based on scurrilous and misleading account,
Motivated politically than by any deeper concern about racism..
Were Jewish people referred the equivalent of piccannies, or that they supposedly have huge noses ?
What has happened to the Tory investigation into anti Muslim behaviour within their party?
And challenging the comments made about this report does not seek to deny the findings of that report, just the way that some have chosen to interpret it.

Ah fck it, DK is right, everyone else is wrong. We got to the point of self-validation you've strived for - as with every other political thread you ever invest yourself in.
Like the majority of posters on this thread, I have no real interest in indulging your peculiar Leftist viewpoint - it's fundamentally odious, as pointed out to you many times before.
Yes, there's the ignore button - but I wonder if anyone reads the reams and reams of deniability and obfuscation you put on this board, and thinks 'Oh yeah, maybe we got it all wrong'?
I can see I’ve said something particularly triggering to bring you out. But why don’t you engage on the stuff we do agree about, both coming from the left. I’d like to understand your point.
Dunt has got a lot to answer for.

Where to even start with this?
This post is a disgrace, just with a little nod to say you don’t disagree with it despite the rest of your post basically saying there was no anti Semitism

I don’t think Harry’s denying real antisemitism cases.
Unless I’m wrong I think he’s talking about the overall crisis where the incidence of antisemitism within Labour was perceived By the public as 100 times greater than it actually was.
That’s pretty disturbing from a democratic point of view.
