Well you're an expert on that so I guess I'll have to accept it

Two questions...

1. What have I ignored here? Please do point out the posts in question, what they were ignoring and how they did so.

2. Would you care to address Anti-Semitism in the Conservative Party (as well as other examples of racism they're guilty of posted in here with evidence to back it) from your perspective as an anti-racist who particularly opposes anti-Semitism (your own words)?

Let it be clear that not answering these questions will probably not do you any favours in convincing people your self-assessment of your views are genuine.

I'm giving you a lifeline here to validate your opinion and not make an arse of yourself. Please do welcome it and stop projecting.

He's talking about your vile posts about parents of dead children 'should have thought about that before they decided to break international law'.

Abhorrent.

That was not about dead children. It was about children of illegal immigrants who are separated from their parents by the Trump administration.

Ah so the old "I was just following orders" defence.

I suggest watching the ICE documentary on Netflix and hearing that used as a defence in real time to videos of children crying locked in cages.

Never confuse what is the law for what is morally justified. Law is man made by those who lack principles and have personal agendas. Human rights should not be optional.

Some children separated from parents subsequently died in detention centres, as well you know.

There is no humane and decent reason for splitting up families. Did you know that they also took children while their mothers were breast feeding them? Did you know that? Do you think that's ok?

Not only do you not seem to care about that, but you actively cheerlead for these policies made by a politician who actually has nothing to do with you and has no impact on your life.

These cruel, vindictive and ultimately unnecessary policies are making desperate scared people risk their lives and the lives of their children in order to reach safety. That's what really pisses me off. You have absolutely no skin in the game here, yet you're full of such forceful and ignorant opinions.

Maybe you genuinely don't know very much about these policies, if so, you should really just shut up about things you don't understand rather than blindly clapping everything and anything someone with an authoritarian bent does.

Andrew Feinstein was adamant last night in an interview with Ch.4 news, defending Corbyn's integrity to the hilt.

Whether some people on here have an issue with Feinstein's credibility I have no idea:

https://www.channel4.com/news/i-have-never-seen-any-evidence-of-racism-of-antise

This is a good accompanying piece where he lays it out. This has all been publicly available information for a good while.

And Feinstein’s right. The use of antisemitism for narrow factional and political reasons by politicians and the media is a stain on our democracy and public debate. And in some cases absolutely trivialising the racist threat that we should be guarding against.

Weird.

You can never go too far with a racist.

This whole idea of balance being “give the racist liars a platform for fairness” isn’t balance, it’s pandering to people who if they had their own way would turn a blind eye to genocide on our own soil.

Not to mention the fact they get these platforms, lie their arses off and by the time it’s fact checked (if we are lucky) the fake story has done the rounds and influenced opinion.

Balance isn’t about voices, it’s about facts and accountability. The MSM all round have failed us there, particularly the Beeb which may as well be a CCHQ sub division now.

At least we have the Byline Times I guess.

I think I've said before that the BBC *World Service* is absolutely superb and one of the very few truly objective news services out there, including UK news where it sticks rigidly to the facts (some might say boringly so, which is probably why it's not more popular). Also highly interesting reports & features from around the world via on-the-spot reporters, plus vox-pops from local residents - particularly enlightening

Why not try it if you haven't before? - you might find yourself rather surprised.

What's to go into?

All you need to say is that it's awful that children have died, and that there are far more humane ways to deal with desperate people trying to enter a country illegally.

Not sure why that's so hard. You running away just shows that you don't care.

I would love to spend time reading through the Twitter feed you linked, and I will later on when I get a bit more time. I have ripped up some flooring in a bedroom and need to go to the tip etc.

You’re right about Corbyn’s leadership over Brexit. I think his willingness to compromise on certain things was a poor trait.

The free vote on the Syria bombing, when he opposed it unequivocally. I would have had more respect had he whipped.

As I say, a catalyst for change, not the answer though.

I’ll give a proper reply later on.

Quite disturbing that out of 7 pages on this topic, you chose to single out Paz again, like someone else clearly pointed out, voting labour doesn’t make you racist anymore than voting conservative does, Your only argument is to call people racist xenophobic or homophobic... your really quite sad to be honest.

I'm guessing that's because it's because Paz has been more than happy to vocally support all sorts of horrendous bigots and then turn on the crocodile tears when the bigotry of people who aren't on his team(never mind that said bigots aren't actively in charge and are facing disciplinary action) is discussed.

In addition, I'm bored of entertaining people like this politely on the forum. Other people may be able to compartmentalise things and chat happily with posters about football and fluff knowing full well they hold some God awful views but I'm not one of them.

I've concluded that he's a human bot soldiering for the Tories/Trumpists/other RW groups, using the well-known tactic of hamstringing the opposition by simply draining the time & energy that they'd otherwise have available for positively supporting decent political parties.

It's a diversionary tactic, and actually quite an effective one - look at the time you, monytowbray & everyone else on this thread has wasted on him, while he just continues stringing us along - constantly tickling everyone with thorns in their sides, whilst remaining careful enough himself to ensure he's never so abusive that he's banned!

One answer covers both. I 've said on this thread I'm against all forms of racism by any group and you ignored it, however in fairness I don't expect you to be sitting at screen reading every thread/reply on TWTD. In terms of #2 same I'm against all forms but this thread is about Corbyn so what other thread are you referencing re No2?

Sorry but can I also add I think you need to do some convincing your views are genuine.

Just read it, obviously the language isn’t great. My observation is that the tone is purely satirical, although admittedly I am sure even he is probably cringing looking back

Let’s look at the definition of satire

“ a way of criticizing people or ideas in a humorous way, especially in order to make a political point, or a piece of writing that uses this style”

Should we be using satire? As you are a fan of context, let’s consider the context of BoJo’s satire.

This was aimed at Peter Mandelson, who only a few months before had come out as homosexual. He was also a Labour MP.

Where in the context of this, is the satire in any way acceptable?
