Once they learn how to post a link I reckon.

Here it is...

Supporters Club: Seeming Stagnation of Our Club Must Not Be Allowed to Continue 30th Nov 2020 12:27
The Ipswich Town Supporters Club has issued a statement outlining its frustrations regarding a number of issues, including what they view as the “seeming stagnation” of the Blues under Marcus Evans’s ownership, a lack of communication and the banning of TWTD’s Phil Ham from press conferences. 44

If it wasn't written by the club then it's been run past them.

not the time for further disruption
get back to some semblance of normality
frustrated by the recent performances and injuries
return to winning ways and that those with injuries recover soon

That will give you the clearest insight into what is the current thinking of ME

That's got Evans/club hierarchy written all over it.

So, so weak.

Tho if they did go all out on "sack the manager" or "the owner should leave", it might just result in contacts and privileges being cut, losing any influence, without any positive leverage or outcome in return.

It's a tricky position being the official supporters group, as they are sort of half on the inside, but only with the club's permisdion. With the best will in the world, can we expect them to come out too strongly against the club's own position or most powerful figures?

Don't disagree with that. However, I don't agree with banal waffle.

The managers lost the dressing room and the plot. Another season in this league and we'll never get out.

What sort of football club would ban an official supporters group for having their say, though? This isn't communist China.

I usually agree with you Guthers but if ever there was a time to be strong, then yes it's now, so yes i think we should expect more from them

There is no time to worry about potential ramifications. We have declined year on year for almost 15 years. This has to stop or we risk getting past the point of no return, if we're not already there.

Sensible post Guthrum. Its really easy for us on here to shout scream and moan whilst tapping away but at least they have made a statement and done something. It is incredibly difficult striking the right balance between cooperation and confrontation and personally I don’t think the statement was that poor. If whoever feels it is really that poor why not contact the supporters club and put yourself forward to join then you have the opportunity to put your views however you wish to express them rather than just moaning and criticising.

...as are all other season ticket holders and members.

They didn't ask my opinion before making the statement. As a member, they should have.

Therefore they aren't speaking on behalf of their membership.

So sod em.

It’s pitiful. No ideas, no passion, no belief, no anger, no ambition. They’d have been better off saying nothing.

We knew they were sitting on the fence already. But what they’ve done here is stand up, but a soda, fix it to the top of the fence and then glue their arses to it.

Ipswich: 15-20 years of "stagnation" and mediocrity = a collective sigh, little action and a soft word from the Supporters Association.

Celtic: First bad spell in 9-10 years be their fans riot, turn up at the stadium during Covid protest and injure police!

Not saying we should go quite to that extent, but the difference is quite, well, different!

Despite the supporters club guff statement, I reckon it would have got pretty ugly in the stadium at the last 2 games if we'd had fans in.

But your point is spot on - 15 years of almost continual bullsh1t, with the last 2 years being off the chart awful, and the supporters club put out that nonsense.

In fairness, I'm not directly pointing a finger at the Supporters Club specifically, but fans in general. A lot of bumping the gums, but nothing significant is ever done.

Anyone protesting in large groups about football during a pandemic is a massive dickhead though in fairness. There's not much more we can do at the moment than contact the club, which dozens of us have done. Hopefully the 2000 fans will make their feelings known soon, if they get that many people actually wanting to attend.

“In our view now is not the time for further disruption,"

Some emails have been sent, no one has been attending matches with nasty chants or booing, no demos outside, no crayoned banners. Its hardly been Battleship Potemkin but quite frankly, if something isn't sorted then there will be a lot of disruption because all the disappointments , 5 point fag packet plans and failures of the last 15 years will come to a head.

For a start, re-instate Phil and sack the chancer.
