I understand they’re probably having to toe the line due to the link to the club but the statement is not not really enough. Whilst I agree with them in relation to stagnation they should be clear that it’s time for Lambert to go, not blather on about injuries and how we need stability. The current so-called stability we’re having is resulting in the stagnation to start with!

Credit to them for calling for Phil’s return, though.

I suspect if they're trying to keep channels open with the club that they have to be diplomatic. I've no problem with that. As you say, the very fact they've been stirred to comment will carry weight.

They didn’t have to go out of their way to cry stability though. Leave it out and let people read into it what they wish - and if that’s a lack of support for the manager then so be it.
