Yes, I understand he’s an ex-Celtic player, but does his managerial record even warrant an interview? Surely, if Celtic are looking to close the gap on their Glasgow rivals they’re going to need a far better manager with a proven track record rather than someone of PL’s managerial ilk? Yes and he’s obviously good at talking himself up (hence the 5 year contract), but let’s look at the teams he’s managed, there’s little to show - especially recent history - he should be appointed the next Celtic manager and they’d be extremely daft to do so. He complains and moans about us as fans, well certainly recently, it must be a boiling cauldron up there with the level of expectation from their supporters and scrutiny of their national and local media.
