Would be surprised if they took that role.

Indeed, they are holding out for a true basket case of a club.

AFC Wimbledon is a forward-looking, engaged club determined to get the best out of itself so it'd be a better fit for them.

Great, so the Cowleys will go to Wimbledon and Cook will wait for a championship job so we rebuild next season under Gary Megson.

Nice new stadium, good catchment area, will probably have big crowds in when allowed, sponsored by a cool record company, unfortunately likely to drop back to League 2, but that's maybe why the Cowleys are being considered

Wouldn't bet against them being above us in the league this time next year if they do.

Nice new ground, finally back at Plough Lane. Lot of regeneration around there too, plenty of nice areas to live if you've got a few quid. Could be quite a decent job I think, and the sort of project that's right up their street where they could properly get their hands dirty across the club.

Shame ME hasn't been more decisive and got them in the door here.

Why on earth would they come here? There’s nothing to come too. I think a progressive club like Wimbledon has to be a much better option for them.

Lambert isn’t going anywhere for a long while yet, sadly.

Only 1 point from safety though, would be surprised if the Cowley's weren't able to keep them up. Would be a fantastic job, good fit for their ethos. If they took the job, they'd finish above us next season comfortably.

I'd like Cook, but would be ok with the Cowleys.

If they both get hired prior to us fvcking off that clueless tw@t Lambert, I'll feel like giving up on it all.

ME, sort it, FFS.

They might be favourites from Wimbledon's perspective, but I would imagine they have set their sights on something bigger.

The new stadium will be the closest ground in all 4 divisions to where I was born, and where I used to go and watch Wimbledon Speedway and banger racing....if we're both in L1 next year and crowds are allowed, I will be there watching banger racing again, aka, our back 4....

I would hope our infustucture would attack them to us over Wimbledon if the job became available. Although they have a new stadium the training ground not as great. I’m sure crickets played on it throughout the summer.

Hopefully they have higher aspirations and turn them down.

if the reimbursement was the same i'd probably go there if i were them and the choice arose. I suppose the only thing Marcus has left is still possibly than he can chuck in a large managerial bonus for promotion or whatever

Nigel Pearson is still available, he would be the best option for Town

A well run club going in the right direction, can see why they'd be an attractive option for AFC, and why Cowley's would see it as a good challenge - but think they'd be best hanging on for a better job
