Imagine moaning about how people protest when it was pretty innocent 20:57 - Feb 15 with 3817 views | monytowbray | If flares upset our fanbase we have no hope. Fair play to them, they’ve just got national press about our annoyance with Lambert/Evans. Get on board or f**k off. Middle Class White Boys, ITFC edition. [Post edited 15 Feb 2021 20:57]

He's just looking for bites (and/or in his case maybe bytes too). But signage catching fire highlights one of the good reasons why flares are banned inside grounds. [Post edited 16 Feb 2021 5:44]

Imagine moaning about how people protest when it was pretty innocent on 21:03 - Feb 15 by monytowbray | All my snow has gone. Well not mine, I don’t own it but it was on my property. Well, my landlord’s property I pay to live in. |
Legally, you own the property for the duration you're the holder of a tenancy agreement on it and are paying the stipulated rent for it. That's why it's illegal for any landlord to enter to enter such a property without both good reason and giving advance notice to the tenant.

No, I fully support the protest and anyone who’s been to Playford Road can tell you it was a fairly safe thing to do.

Actually that is incorrect. It is illegal to discharge any firework or pyrotechnic device in a public place.

Imagine moaning about how people protest when it was pretty innocent on 21:05 - Feb 15 by blueislander | There are quite a lot of fans that find flares offensive. Some because. It is illegal to let off flares, others because they are asthmatic and it endangers their health. Others think it is great bantz. |
So its ok to use flares on a sinking ship, however not on a sinking football club

Makes you laugh when someone genuinely believes you can let off pyrotechnics on a public path. You'd have to be some sort of reclusive idiot to think that was all above board. Look, I've been in and around flares and smoke bombs (in pubs) hell, my old man thought it was a good idea to let one off at my New Years Party once and the red dye coated pretty much the whole house and caused everyone to evacuate....but... There's doing stuff in the right way and then there's this. It smacks of a simple minded (no offence to those involved) petty protest, toys out of pram type event. Where a few lads (or girls?) have nothing better to do in a National Lockdown. I've not done the red card thing, but it's more poignant and better thought out. But hey, it'd be a boring world if we were all the same, so crack on..

The red card thing will sadly have no effect at all - unless you get a ridiculous number, i.e thousands. It is currently at 74.

I was only explaining a point of law. I wasn't saying it was unsafe. Letting off a smoke or a flare in your living room (or in a pub) is a pretty dumb thing to do though.

Didn’t know that. I do now. I still stand by the idea that letting off a flare in a virtually empty area bar a footballers isn’t that much of a biggy though.

I'd expect nothing less than an assumptive comment like that. Things can still get done in the real world without resorting to primal chest beating and crying into your cornflakes when things aren't to your satisfaction.

I prefer to live by the risk. Otherwise by all logic we’d have to ban BBQs, smoking, bonfires and anything else firey. I get flares make a bloody mess of the immediate area in terms of visibility but they look worse as they are designed to do exactly that.
