By all accounts professional idiot Prince Andrew wanted to dip into his Mr Ben dressing up box and become an Admiral for the day and there were questions about what lost soul Henry would be wearing - so she has declared no one is zapping into their military attire and everyone will be wearing civvies.
“Hello, I'm your MP. Actually I'm not. I'm your candidate. Gosh.”

Meghan Markle has just released a statement saying that the Archbishop of Canterbury had carried out Phil's funeral service in secret three days previously.
Has it been announced when he actually died?
Did he die a few days before the announcement?

Which bit of the yes and no relates to socialist rates and which to whether it's your sort of job?
This is not my driveway but these are the sort of slabs I have. I would imagine they are fairly easy to lift and then dig a hole, cut the roots and re lay.
Jobs a goodn
I must confess I chuckled at this. That's block paving rather than slabs, and it's an absolute cunit of a job for somebody.
I wasn't chuckling at your misfortune, rather the assumption that it was lift a few slabs, swear at a few tree roots, throw a few slabs back down and job's a good'un.
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.
So brilliantly diffused in this context is making the obvious choice that will save the Palace PR department some work?
Later she will brilliantly solve the hunger of her family by ordering the team of chefs and the servants to somehow work together to COOK AND DELIVER some sort of meal.

I'm kind of getting the feeling you're putting your hands up for the job Coastal

Definitely not...sorry! .....and yes. The slow option to your problem is to use a chainsaw to score a grid inside the stump and then fill with roundup weed killer, cover and wait until the roots die and become easier to deal with. Manyana innit!
Edit....tarmac driveway?

Deft use of a chainsaw will allow you to cut a crater or hollow in the top of the stump
Fill hollow with roundup
Then tie a plastic bag over the stump to stop rain from diluting the roundup
Repeat every few days
