IFollow cost deducted in FULL? 14:41 - Apr 28 with 11251 views | kizaitfc | Very shocked that they have deducted the full £10 cost of iFollow on the ST refunds. Fans who have kept ST should have been better rewarded in my opinion

IFollow cost deducted in FULL? on 17:07 - Apr 28 by NeedhamChris | I think you've forgotten that ST holders only get home games for 'free'. So to have watched the same games as you would mean they'd have paid a lot of £10's on top as well! [Post edited 28 Apr 2021 17:07]

In that case, apologies. Does somewhat dilute that doesn't it? Again, not unreasonable, but it's a business and people who wanted a change of owners, I can guarantee, these guys will not sid idly by and plough money into this club without a return. That return starts with supporters believing in them to drive the club forward and doing exactly what it says on the tin. Supporting. We're not Evan's 'play thing' anymore.

The other thing to highlight is the 60% limit of turnover on salaries next year. So they have to keep a level of income in place otherwise we won’t be able to restructure the squad - that’s unless we do a Bournemouth and say to hell with the conditions in place. The problem is, whatever happens, we’ll still be in the EFL next season so will no doubt be punished if we do.

IFollow cost deducted in FULL? on 17:30 - Apr 28 with 1515 views | JammyDodgerrr | IFollow was always a benefit of the season ticket package. I cannot believe the furore that has kicked off because of this - i bet half the people who are claiming they want more back watched most of the games anyway, thus using some of it. The fact that any kind of refund is being given is a miracle.

Turnover can include owners donations/equity. This is from the financial fair play website “Turnover definition Under the SCMP rules, the definition of 'Turnover' is particularly important as Turnover is used to determine the maximum wage-spend. Within a traditional accounting perspective, there are usually only three elements of turnover: Match-day Income Commercial Income (such as sponsorship) TV revenue (and any 'merit payments' based on league position) However the Football League use a is broader definition of Turnover. Crucially, the FL Turnover figure includes donations from the owners to the club and injections of equity. Loans from club owners are understandably not included in the Turnover figure as these would result in growing club debts. up club debts. In League 1 and League 2, a wealthy owner can therefore fund the club spending in a way that is not permitted in other divisions.”

Don’t think it was obvious. We had to renew by some date in April, we were only in the first lockdown then We were told the first lockdown would be the only one...

IFollow cost deducted in FULL? on 16:08 - Apr 28 by Swailsey | Really?! Did you think they were giving it to us for free? So you were expecting either: a) Free iFollow for some of the season and entry for the rest b) Free iFollow and a full refund for something you willingly purchased? So essentially, the club to just give you full access to matches, for free, for no reason at all? I can't believe people were expecting any sort of refund! [Post edited 28 Apr 2021 16:12]

Is this a good time to tell everyone again that I pay £19 a month to watch every match on ifollow? No? Ok.

You don’t need a VPN this season. Anyone who realised that simply paid £19 a month. Ifollow had to unlock the restrictions to allow all the moaning season ticket holders access. [Post edited 28 Apr 2021 18:21]

$4 and 13 cents a game for me. Which sounds like a great deal until you realize it involves watching us.

Do you do this by stating incorrectly that your home address is overseas?

IFollow cost deducted in FULL? on 15:51 - Apr 28 by SouperJim | By the same token, it wasn't the supporters fault either. The club chose to still sell season tickets. They didn't have to sell a product which they knew they would likely be unable to deliver. I think deducting the value of the replacement service, is the minimum they should offer. To frame it as generous is wide of the mark for me. I'd like to have seen more. |
I can totally see your point - a mate texted similar. But the cost spread across ST holders is easier to mitigate than the club taking the full hit. I imagine there are lower league clubs who will really struggle paying back similar. I've also saved a fortune on travel, beers in the post and pre-match pubs, or on the train, food, etc... Another thing is that the new owners have just forked out a fair wedge - marcus has neatly side-stepped these costs. It could amount to £1m. i might have gone too far with the word 'generous'. 'Fair' would be appropriate though, given everything that's gone on.

No that’s not necessary. I did, but then I do live in Spain for part of the year. You can put your home address.
IFollow cost deducted in FULL? on 19:56 - Apr 28 with 1193 views | Blue1973 | Well I can see all the whining and fuss. Buy a season ticket and know you can't attend games. However , get to watch all matches on I follow. Then batch cos you have had this service deducted from your season ticket price. When you are allowed back to Portman Road, if you can't make 6 games due to other commitments would you expect the cash back? No, you won't, so stop bitchin
