I was at the Italy v Spain game and the Italians very loudly were booing the Spain national anthem so its not just us and ridiculous to think an FA can control all of its fans! Maybe UEFA should look more closely at themselves about dealing with Racism in the game and taking a tougher stance!! |

It's not about the intentions of the "booers". I'm not keen on people defending political propaganda on the basis of being rude.
I also find the idea of being offended by the booing of a national anthem to be more pathetic than those who boo them in the first place. |
That was poorly worded from me, you are of course right it's a science.
You are of course allowed to think my opinion is pathetic, just seems to me that you are directly your ire at the wrong venue and context. Nothing is going to change by booing anthems at football grounds, if anything it's like to increase the nationalism towards the anthem as some from that country will no doubt be offended by the "foreigners" booing their song and in turn become more nationalist.
There are far higher and more effective forms of propaganda than an outdated national anthem in my opinion and this is a case of pick and choose your battles for the majority I would think.
Reading back my first post the word "angry" was wrong. It's more petty than anything.

It might be 'pantomime' to you but it is highly offensive to many people, including players. |
I wouldn't say I find it offensive, I just think it lowers the tone and represents the never-ending decay of human dignity very graphically, if you'll pardon the mixed senses. A bit like a lot of the relentless off-season arguments on here tbh. |  |

Someone was letting fireworks off on Wembley way after the game. which given how busy it was, was a very stupid thing to do.
But can UEFA do anything about something that happened outside the stadium? Security at Wembley is questionable, but I'm pretty sure no one would have gotten in with them!
