Think we need more than 4-5. We badly need 2 centre halves,hopefully with experience. We need a left back, We need at least another striker. Bonne isnt prolific,neither does he play Cooks prefered one up top. Strange signing all round. Norwood will be Norwood, we need goals. Cook said so himself. I dont see goals in the squad he has so far. Who is going to be on the bench too ?....The bomb squad ? because he has nothing of a team as yet if he has blown all those out the water . |  | | |

I hope fans took in what Ashton said regarding fans posting on social media, the names of potential targets and of how much this harms this Club’s chances.
Perhaps it’s time for this forum to facilitate a block on such posts? I don’t know, I’m only asking the question really. We all want the best players to come here , and we are all inpatient to learn who the target is and some want the glory (as Ashton states), of being the first to name that player, probably unwittingly at the most sensitive time in the negotiations?
I know the forum is about opinions, but for the sake of ITFC, maybe things need to change on here too, as it has done at the Club. Many might say , “ it can’t be done”, but to me where there’s a will, there’s a way. What do others think? |
Surely the problem is not with fans who leak info on here or twitter but with people at the club who provide the info. |  |

I still think we need min. 5 signings. Crooks would a terrific addition, and also gives the versatility of being a very tall front man.
Crooks, Gibson, Celina, Coulsen, Jacobs + 1 more striker would be my shopping list. Would give a core group of 23/24 which I think would be Cook's max.

Possibly, and could see a Chey Dunkley coming in, or somebody like that.

I agree - left back, Lees, Crooks, Celina/Jacobs and a proven striker would be my five but that would result in needing probably another centre back at the very least. Are we really going to go into the season with Kenlock and Penney as our choices as left back? I hope not. I fear we may also be happy with Bonne and Norwood as our choice up front which I fear is setting us up for a fall.

An alternative would be for everyone to chip in with three ITK rumours a day and completely inundate the board, and those dastardly agents/ scouts would tire of sifting through the pile. Posters could be assigned a letter of the alphabet, and look at lists of everyone under 28 who plays for, say, Derby, Dundee, Dundee United, and Dundalk and then say that the player is married to someone who went to school in Wickham Market, which will take the scouts a while to check. |  | | |

Definitely agree on the striker front. Bonne and Norwood arnt the answer. Cook bemoaned we didnt score enough goals,well we wont with what we have got so far. If we are going with just those two,then no way are we going to be prolific. I hate to say it, but I prefer the business Wigan have been doing,can see them winning this league,as for us, at the moment with what we have I would be surprised if we made the playoff. Uninspired to say the least. Lets face it, most people had never heard of most who have signed,now some are touting them as world beaters. | | | |

Totally agree, All players have agents now and they would be a pretty plss poor agent if they aren't putting out the word about their player is happy to leave to lots of clubs with the aim of getting the best deal for the player, that's what agents do.
The way some fans are talking it's like we're Man City offering £400k a week, completely different in that situation the agent doesn't need to go looking for a better deal but I bet those agents do. We're a L1 club any agent would be going to other L1 and Championship club maybe even Prem in some situations to generate more interest. I'm still staying optimistic. If we were in this position under Evans I'd be fully expecting us to re-sign Edwards, get Will keane as a desperate last day signing and then a couple of not ready kids on loan. But I think (hope) we'll do much better than that. |  |
