From what I am seeing on Twitter, Troy is still handing out racist abuse to the BWFC person who posted the video. I don't have words for how vile this is....lifetime ban incoming and expect a court appearance. While others have stated he was egged on during/post game he has continued to back that video up.

I made the mistake of looking up Troy's Twitter profile, I'd advise others not to do the same.

Ok... I haven't seen it and am only going on previous stuff him and his so called pals have been involved in... I ain't excusing it and will never accept anything other than red lines when it comes to this sh1t

Tell me you' re joking with that comparison.

Maybe the comparison wasn’t a good one but my point is there are some things that shouldn’t be said and there are no excuses for abusing anyone in the manner reported.

His group of 'mates' who 'look out for him' seem to set him up nicely a lot of the time.

Yes he's the one saying the stupid things but we've seen he just loves football. What led him from watching the game to making videos like that? It's almost like he is egged on then the cameras come out and he hasn't caught on that everyone else has stopped.

I would like to see the club insist he moves his ST and that he is accompanied by a responsible adult to future games. Instead he's likely to get a ban. Do people remember what he was like last time live football was taken away from him? I do understand he has to face consequences and it is his choice to say that stuff but this happens repeatedly. Even the way people talk to him on Twitter is sickening.

Sitters replied to him linking to the statement. This investigation will worry the life out of him now. People so gleeful to laugh in his face and cause him further misery. People respond to him on Twitter talking in 5 year old language just taking the piss.

Your suggestion if his ST being moved is a good one but in this scenario the club have no choice but to nan him.

I really do feel for the guy as I don’t think he understands the seriousness of things he says and tweets, but unfortunately it’s a clear case of someone not having the positive influence in their life that they so desperately need.

Coming off social media would’ve been the best thing he could’ve done 2/3 years ago in my opinion.

Fascinatingly pitiful ignorance on your part.
You’re certainly going to be one to watch very closely.
Play on.

Apologies if I’ve offended you or anyone else and maybe i am showing my ignorance towards the person involved. I have to admit I’m not very knowledgeable of the person being discussed background and was merely showing my frustration at our club being linked with such behaviour.

....there are a number of twitter accounts that claim to be him, that really aren't.

It's symptomatic of the very strange obsession that some people (not only Ipswich fans) have with him.

I think the last post on his actual account just says "bye twitter"

Of course I may be wrong, but this is a very delicate situation so probably not ideal to attribute anything that can't actually be verified as coming from him.

Some people told him. He didn't listen. If he learnt something about who to trust from this that would at least be one good outcome from this.

The only other good outcome I can foresee is if those who have chosen to encourage him into this were properly dealt with and made to know in no uncertain terms they are responsible for sullying the name of the club and are not welcome anywhere near it.

As mentioned previously, I went to the same specialist school as this guy.

I managed to find the video and it's absolutely typical of him mirroring his "mates" behaviour and trying to get a laugh out of them.

He referred to the player as being from a country that doesn't even exist, which is an indicator that he's not fully aware of what he's saying, however, he must have known that a reference to where a black player is from, in the context of a tirade of abuse, amounts to racism.

The inevitable stadium ban will definitely have a negative impact on his mental health, but I think it's for the best. So many people have tried to help him and got nowhere with it. Hopefully, if this goes to court then the authorities will identify the urgent need for him to be cared for by responsible adults, who can provide a much needed positive influence.

It's not entirely his fault, but we can't defend or make excuses for what he said.

Completely agree. A ban is coming and it's 100% justified but it's just frustrating. We tried to get him away from Twitter. A group of good people on here said he could tag along with them and they would look after him. Sadly he didn't listen.

Troy said racist things, he said a player should have been hung and he wanted them to die of aids. Stop sticking up for him. if he is able to find his way to a football stadium and go in unaided, sit in seats unaided and cheer and shout like the rest of us then he should be treated like an adult by the club.

The Police/Court will take things in mitigation about his wellness and his ease of being egged on but as a club I am sorry, he is toast and rightfully so.

sorry if that sounds harsh but there is no room for exceptions when dealing with racism in football.

I haven't suggested otherwise.

I'm fairly certain he lives independently with no carers or support. He's a very needy person and requires a hell of a lot of social validation, and doesn't particularly care where it comes from... social media provides this to him so, without intervention from people who really know what they're doing - some form of carers or social workers, this was always, sadly, inevitable.

The club should ban him immediately. They should then work with the relevant authorities to get him the help he needs to ensure that he learns, gets through the fallout from this and can ultimately return.

They should then go after the tw@ts who always treat him like sh1t and absolutely hammer them.

....but as you say it was inevitable to some degree.

He's obviously been let down by too many people, whether that's family, social care or "friends" I'm not sure (probably all of them), but it is genuinely sad to see.

It's all just upsetting really.

I have just seen the tweets. From someone who by them alone has a condition that affects his ability to act rationally in these kind of circumstances.

Sadly I have heard worse, this season at that as well. However, without it being recorded and then posted to the wider world it disappears into the air. Anything beyond a comment is usually met by others with a challenge, and condemnation - so we are spared that hate being spread. Social media cannot react that quick.

Unfortunately, this is being blown out of all proportion.

One individuals comments do not represent other fans or this club. However, as with Trump and others the club should still exclude him from the ground as should social media exclude him.

It would help if those 'encouraging him were 'spoken to' - as there is a very thin line between being an innocent bystander in this matter, and having 'common purpose'. Many are across that line and into the latter area.

Lets condemn this by all means, take the necessary action to stop it happening again (where possible) but let's see this in perspective, as when set against nearly 20,000 who watched the game and not felt the need to do this, and the innumerable posts and comments made about the game on social media where no such offensive remarks were made either.

An isolated incident, by an isolated 'idiot' who society should be isolated from hearing him.
