To the author, Yeah often we're not up to much or struggle to get a result, embarrass ourselves on occasion you could go as far to admit, but as before, can't always understand the need to openly criticize after a team victory.
Poor start, could be better et cetera et cetera, but prefer maybe to focus on positives like some improvement in scores in recent games and the hope that over enough time the team can collectively function and progress as they should.

There was nothing desperate about it, we played a team who for all but 10 minutes after they equalised were happy to play with 11 men behind the ball and give us no space to run into or onto things.
But for some shocking refereeing we would have won by more and arguably they don’t get their goal.
Shrewsbury came for the draw and they didn’t get it, it was obvious they were going to be hard to break down but we managed it in the end, on another day that game is 3 or 4-0 |  |

I assume that you are trying to equate this team with the Town sides of the 70s and 80s that you e joyed watching, and beating the best in Europe.I think you have to lower your sights somewhat. The football played by Town has been largely uninspiring since Joe Royle was manager. From what I have seen the current squad have the ability to be the most entertaining since then. Whether they fulfill that promise is another matter, but I think we have to have a bit of patience. | | | |
