The Express turned as well yesterday.

GB News is probably the only outlet still trying to defend him

I flick over to gb news occasionally - from what I have seen they have been hammering him all week - as have lbc, talk radio, etc etc.

I don't know who I'll be voting for....it won't be Tory though. You?

Starmer has made it pretty clear he doesn't want my vote, so I'll probably abstain or vote Green.

Only all week, most non cunits have been hammering him for more than 2 years.

Never vote Tory, unless you’re a millionaire of course

Apologies, I was referring to his time as PM.

Frankly, he has been a cunit all of his life and as his former headmaster said he thinks the rules don’t apply to him.

I’m sick of the Tories frankly, they are the biggest bunch of pricks ever gathered together in government.

Max Hastings collumn on him was a thing of beauty. How any Tory MP could think he was fit for senior office is beyond me. They knew what he was like, but were more interested in their careers than in putting the country first.

My constituency is the former leader's. So I think I'm pretty good on that.

I'll wait to hear from those who refused to vote Labour last time because of Corbyn on how they helped enable this though.

which former leader? milliband's isn't very safe and corbyn's threatening to stand against labour, so i think voting would be a good idea!

Corbyn's.

It won't make any difference here but I don't want socialist voices silenced in what should be a party inclusive of socialist views. If people want conservatism with red lipstick they're more than welcome to it, but I won't be voting for it.

which of starmer/rayner's policies are you so opposed to that you'd prefer the tories to prevail against them?

i'd consider myself left of starmer/corbyn etc, but i'd always vote for labour in a general election. weak socialism is better than nationalistic capitalism every day of the week. if the only viable opposition was the lib-dems, i'd even vote for them!

i vote green when it's pr, but the consequences of voting to let the tories in at a general election are too dire to consider

If Andy Burnham was still an MP he would've been labour leader and won the next election. Shame he isn't.

The problem is he always said he didn't want it? - has he changed his mind? If he were returned to Westminster, and Labour were able to sub him for Starmer, they'd win by a landslide at the next GE.

He's already proved his capability and competence in Manchester, all the signs are he'd be a superb PM & just what the country needs going into the future.

Well if the odds are right it seems that the Tories are determined to throw an 80 seat majority away next time.

They do have one or two capable people in their ranks yet the rank and file seems to prefer the feckwits.

Weak socialism in this instance is nationalistic capitalism so as per usual no real choice.

Absolute nonsense as usual.

Whatever your thoughts about the ideology of Starmer, he is clearly a better choice for any rational leftie than the conservative party and you are cutting your nose off to spite your face in continually railing against someone who MAY be able to dislodge the current government.

I really don't understand this love for Burnham. Whilst the left may prefer him to Starmer, he would push away the sorts of middle of the road voters labour need to secure a majority.

Not that they have much chance of that, without a deal with the SNP anyway.
