I maybe in a minority and everyone has a choice to make, so this isn't a plea to stop people going.
I'm probably not going to go....not had booster yet, booked for next week. So, although double jabbed, likely I'll miss.
Having weighed everything up - just too close to Xmas to take a risk of contracting Covid and scuppering Xmas plans.
I know a fair few people who, on the run up to Xmas, seem to be limiting social contact etc.

My little one is due on Thursday, and even though the missus said she’d be happy for me to had he arrived, I’ve made the decision not to go (I haven’t been to a home game since the 6-0 Doncaster win). I’m not necessarily fussed, as I’m double jabbed (will book my booster in the new year once things calm down), but the missus still hasn’t been vaccinated due to being pregnant and if I was to catch COVID at the game it would mean she’d have to isolate and miss Xmas with family as well.
Hopefully be back on the 29th and will certainly be making up for it with a few beers. |  |

That Doncaster game was a super spreader event, the amount of people that caught covid from that game was insane.
Which then begs the question regarding Vaccine Passports, even though everyone had to show proof of vaccination or neg LFT it still remained rampant in the ground. |

Me and my son both currently have covid. He's been to school and the football. The only place I've been apart from work (fully masked as work at the hospital) is Portman Road and Charlton. I'm pretty sure I got it from football. I'm triple jabbed, done all the right things and still got covid! If everyone lfts and does as they are supposed to then football holds no risks but sadly I don't think everyone does. It only take 1 to ruin it for a lot of people |
I had a test today because I got pinged from the Charlton trip and 5 out of 8 of my mates kids and friends have tested positive for the Charlton variant.
My test was negative and the Charlton 5 are not showing signs of illness, just boredom. |  |

I have both disappointment and loss as my mate (father of one of the lurgy carriers) was going to mend my loft hatch this week but we have decided that even though neither of us have tested positive it's best to leave it until after Christmas. | |

I will be going, it’s the first time I’ve seen my son since July, fortunately I had my booster on 4th December so I’m about as protected as I’m going to get by the time Saturday comes around.
