20 of the 2019 intake about to submit letters of no confidence which could take it over the required threshold.

He could be gone within days.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

I'm tabling a vote of no confidence in your condiment choices.

Called it that once the 2019 intake (the ones who owe their seats to Johnson) decided he was spent, the 54 letters would go in.

Will be interesting to see if he wins the vote or not.

They appear to think it will wait for the report from Sue Gray, no matter what it says.

I think another mauling at PMQs tomorrow could do it

Would be fun if Angela Rayner got to deputise again...

It is the kind of open goal that even Marlon Harewood would struggle to miss...

Does it need to be anything more than

“Are you still here?”

From Starmer? Simple, soundbite politics that’ll drive headlines.

From a GTTO perspective, I think the ideal result would be for him to narrowly survive a VONC. It means they're lumbered with him for at least a year unless he resigns, it will trigger infighting and if they back him, the Tory Party as a whole can be accused of having protected Johnson.

If that is the case, watch how quickly the rats abandon the sinking ship. We'll start seeing some serious back peddling going on from the cabinet ministers who have spent the last week defending the indefensible.

I don't think they'll abandon until the after the next stage.

Then it will be "Who, Boris? Never heard of him..."

The interview this morning with the armed forces minister was painful.

He kept saying that he backed Boris and we should wait for the report but when asked if he should resign if he lied to parliament he just kept saying every MP knows the ministerial code but wouldn't actually say yes.

Pathetic stuff.

Not in public.

But you think Sunak, Truss and any others with ambitions won't be telling their supporters to vote against Johnson?

Absolutely they will be nudging their supporters to vote against him

This is about saving their own skin now and they know the longer Boris is there, the stronger Labour appear.

They say he doesn't have many friends in the Tory Party, he has no respect within the Civil Service either, so we'll absolutely see a lot of turncoat type performances after he's gone

Did anyone see a documentary about Kimodo Dragons a few years back?

The gang of the lizards were harassing a water buffalo and one managed take a bite out of the buffalo's rear leg

The bite was infected and the poor buffalo spent the next few days dying a slow agonising death with the predators taking the occasional lump out of it as it slowly weakened

The lizards just stood around, tongues flickering as they watched and waited

This scene kind of springs to my mind as we watch Johnson in his death throes

They plant that kind of stuff in the media to encourage others to follow them (of course it might work) - they're all just a bunch rats on a burning ship trying to judge which of the two rickety rotten lifeboats is most likely to keep them alive for a bit longer.

“Up the revolution”

How depressing, given that the country won’t look much different without Boris, just slightly less of an embarrassment.
