Bands you need to see before you die 19:37 - Feb 20 with 5030 views | GlasgowBlue | Seen pretty much every big act that I wanted. Bowie, Macca, The Stones, The Who etc. So for me it's the Rumours line up of Fleetwood Mac. Highly unlikely.

Bands you need to see before you die on 23:32 - Feb 20 by MattinLondon | Massive Attack - would be great to see them. Nirvana- obviously will be impossible to see them but if someone invents a time machine then I’ll go back to 1992 to see them at Reading festival. |
I seen um at Reading. It was wet

Bands you need to see before you die on 00:11 - Feb 21 by Whos_blue | Within the realms of possibilty, (i e. Not having a time machine) I've seen pretty much everyone I wanted to see. I would have liked to have seen Parklife era Blur. I went off them after that and never bothered. I just never got around to it at the time. One band I'm still yet to see are Blondie. I had tix for Brian Wilson in June 2020. The gig still hasn't been officially cancelled, so there's still hope!!! Current artists on my wish list are Michael Kiwanuka, Jane Weaver and Wet Leg, to name but a few. I know it's not the purpose of the thread, but if I could see one artist, it would be Moon era Who. Possibly followed by The Jam, or maybe Hendrix. |
I saw the last ever concert by The Jam at Wembley Arena in December 1982. Credit to Weller for sticking by his principles and not being persuaded by huge sums of money to reform. My brother saw the last ever Hendrix performance at the Isle of Wight festival in September 1970. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Bands you need to see before you die on 21:04 - Feb 20 by Lord_Lucan | Likewise, for me I have seen pretty much everyone I have wanted to see. Fleetwood Mac and Supertramp escaped me. I had a ticket for Fleetwood Mac around late 80's / early 90's but an employee was getting married and I went to his wedding. I wish I hadn't |

I prefer the Rumours line up to the Peter Green line up. A far bigger and more varied body of work.

....I was in Vegas once and there were some cheap tickets going for Barry Manilow. The wife was keen to go, I wasn't, but decided I could do it "ironically". When we got into the theatre, the usher said she could find us some better seats. Next thing I know the wife had slipped her $20 and I was sitting in the front row surrounded by 80 year old Manilow groupies. Rock n Roll eh?

Nice!!! I used to work with a fella who went to see the Stones in the park in 69 during the day and The Who perform Tommy at the Royal Albert Hall in the evening. What. A. Day!

Bands you need to see before you die on 07:05 - Feb 21 by BondiBlue | I saw them at milton keynes bowl but i made the classic mistake of booking a train ticket home for shortly after the show was due to finish. Predictably, they were an hour late on stage and we had to leave halfway through 'live forever'. I will never forvive them. |
Been to 2 Oasis gigs back in the day. A number of us tripped down to Cork in the 90's to see the Morning Glory tour supported by Prodigy and both were fantastic! One of the best gigs I've been too. Spin on a decade or so went to see Oasis in circa 2004 and it was and absolute mess, Liam chucking cans into the audience giving out a out the sound which he was spot on about. Everything was a mess couldn't here anything it all jumbled up into noise. Only gig I ever left early soo disappointed. Saw Blur at Féile over here in Ireland during the parklife tour and they were amazing, better than the album which for me is the test for all bands. Can you do it without all the producing etc (ahem Stone Roses) Edited: As my phone autocorrects Irish words. [Post edited 21 Feb 2022 20:02]

Bands you need to see before you die on 22:46 - Feb 21 with 1510 views | BlueandTruesince82 | One final Spinal tap tour would be appreciated. The must see list I've ticked off includes the stones, ACDC, Lynrd Skynrd, Prince, Blondie, Van Halen, Roxette, GnR, Motorhead Bands I've seen that would be on try and see again include Skunk Annansie who are maybe the best band I've seen live, Plan B, Thunder. Bands that deserve a special mention Flight of the Conchords The Mighty, Mighty Bosstones for letting me and my mates raid their rider after their show at the waterfront sometime around 1998/99

I went along with my parents to see John Denver at the Gaumont circa 1982. At the time I was worried friends would find out so kept it very quiet - which was hard because he was pretty good to tell you the truth. No band or support just cracked on for 2 hours with a guitar and a microphone for company. Of a similar ilk James Taylor is still on my list to see.
