I would expect this will be the last hurrah as once Liz goes I cannot see there being much to celebrate with jug ears starting his innings so late.

I'm on our Parish Council & they wanted to put up some bunting for a "street party". However, they first had to commission a H&S structural report (which cost £1962) which told us this should NOT be hung from the street lamps because of the risk of "catenary action".
I'm no engineer (or royalist) but this strikes me as absolute expensive nonsense. |  |

You're right. Our insurer also refused to cover us for liability if someone fell into a dell on our land & the H&S consultant told us to surround the dell with a huge, unsightly fence. | |
