Idles currently smashing it on the Other Stage (and with an important bit of commentary on Roe v Wade before Mother).

As much as I'm sort of on your side - that is The Guardian.

Haha I know, it was the crowd size that was the main point...if that's anywhere near right (and it certainly looked like it was), he had a staggering 70% of the weekend's entire ticket sales there for his set.

But hey, if a former Beatle had only thought to look on TWTD for tips on how to improve his complete lack of knowledge on how to structure a setlist he could have entertained them.

Obviously I did a lot of research before posting that Dubs.
I witnessed over 7 seconds of I think it was Crowded house ( absolutely awful) then switched over to watch 3 seconds of some other awful old bloke( possibly Robert Plant?) Also heard the awful geriatric McCartney was playing at some point. That's enough for me to stay well away from the rest of it. Can only hope the real action is in the late night rave tents and they just not showing that on TV. Otherwise it just looks so cleansed an uninteresting.

Fair enough, and based on that sample you'd def have a point. I was only quick to challenge as there is too much radio 1 pop bobbins in the line up for my tastes.

I don't mind some crowded house, but what I saw of the set was a bit naff.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Fontaines just smashed it on the other stage (after their first song was way out of tune and mixed terribly). What a band.

They are definitely a live band. I like their albums, don't love them, but their Sunday night headline set at Green man last year was incredible - and it takes a very special set to get my excited by Sunday night at a festival!

Whatever anyone wants to say about McCartney's set, his voice held up a LOT better than Diana Ross's is on the beeb at the moment.

I'm watching her now - me and the Mrs just looked at each other as she dropped so many notes.

Been catching up with bits today… Crowded House were average at best but lose another couple of points for having the annoying little kid on stage.

Noel & the Byrds were excellent, Primal Scream were great too.

Avoided Diana Ross like the plague after the shambles that was the Jubilee performance earlier this month.

Wish they had a camera filming the acoustic tent, some decent acts on there through the weekend.

No sooner did I post that, I turned the TV on and Diana Ross was on… she is even worse than I thought she’d be.

Still nowhere near the record stage-front crowd for Glastonbury … that honour belongs to the mighty Levellers in 1994, over 300k back in the day when gatecrashing the fence was the norm.

There is some upper bobbins there these days, unfortunately seems like much more bobbins than decent stuff now.

For anyone interested on the Pyramid right now they've got perhaps the best jazz keys player ever. Would highly recommend. As a jazz player my whole musical life it's what I've been looking forward to most all weekend.

Older than Macca I think. Great set and a top band.

I think you can see him behind the screen, I think it probably should have raised up but hasn't!

Good stuff thus far though.
