Assists are not a great metric to assess a creative player. They tell you more about the people on the end of the chances. You can have Muhren in midfield but if you have Samassi Abou up front then Muhren won’t get many assists. | |

Especially when said player hasn’t been struck down by serious illness at the start of the second season. Think we would have seen a significant improvement on both of those metrics. |  |

Genuinely will be quite difficult to find an attacking midfielder that contributes an open play goal or an assist once every 173 minutes, yes.
I can only see 5 attacking midfielders who achieved that last year, we own one (Burns), and the rest are currently with Championship clubs (Embleton, Lang, Twine, Garrick). [Post edited 14 Jul 2022 13:07]

Can you give some examples of these "smarter, cheaper" signings who will perform as well or better than Celina.
It's mentioned everyday, frequently by yourself, however I am yet to see anyone give any examples.
I do feel for whomever we get to replace Celina as they are going to have to be better than Messi to please some fans.
