No one cheered louder than me when Johnson threw in the towel. But this person should no longer have a job with a news broadcaster which has to be seen to be impartial.

I’d have said the same had her laughter been at the expense of Corbyn.

You are right of course, but don't expect anything more than a rap on the knuckles. Laura Kuenssberg got away with it for years.

Context GB?

If you look at the longer clip, her glee seems to be more about actually being able to report some interesting news for a change as opposed to regurgitating the same stuff to fill air time.

I was as gleeful as the next man on this, but that isn’t really on and doesn’t help the narrative that the bbc is biased.

However I think she will have left enough grey areas there to avoid censure, but the meaning is pretty clear to all.

The only Muff in Town.

As far as I can work out, Glassers has watched a very carefully edited video clip and fallen for it.

No wonder the beeb is under so much pressure with this sort of attack considered fair.

Why doesn't Sky and ITN get the same, when they all have to abide by impartiality rules?

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

Poor to show a short clip completely stripped of any context and attributed a meaning by Timothy who obviously won't be evaluating this with an unbiased view.

No way you can make out from that whether she's 'gleeful' about Johnson stepping aside or that it's brought about a more exciting programme. Even if it's the former then losing her job is a bit strong, a suspension and a reminder of impartiality rules would be the regulation I'd have thought.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Ludicrous stuff as per.

And who on earth do you think you are kidding? You’d have been posting exactly as smearily and disingenuously as Nick Timothy if it was Corbyn.

It’s what you do.

Nothing to see here. There's no political bias, just over excitement at the prospect of presenting at a time of such national interest and intrigue.

Only the biased will see bias here.

Probably needed to watch that clip in context rather than blindly spraying it around the internet.

Now find the clips of Laura K metaphorically fellating BJ with her eyes in a downstairs bar in that Brexit Behind the Scenes documentary she did "with unprecedented access".

And make a similar fuss.

She was glad to be in on a big story and unprofessionally let it show.

Why did they cut the clip the way they did?

That's gotta be a thankless job and bad for the old self esteem. Imagine being so low in the Russian 'destabilise the west' info war that you get landed with this place.

If you haven’t mad a formal complaint to the BBC, isn’t this just virtual signalling?

If you have made a formal complaint, I am sure we would all be interested in the outcome.
