The first game when they consistently threw objects at our keeper and linesman. Hence the late offside goal was not given as lino was afraid for his life. What did the EFL do nothing.
Today's match at 0-0 big Johnson elbows burns, lino sees it but can't pinpoint the culprit. Penalty, but no red.
So what have we learnt from them? We play fair and they cheat better. I'm surprised they didn't try and play with 12 or 13 players. Lol

Firstly we failed to hold onto a 2 0 lead at hilsboro because of our soft underbelly. We've seen it consistently when we come under pressure from other sides. We dont like it when we are put under pressure. We lack professionalism at times when it's needed and need strong leadership at these times instead if we go 2 0 up we all know once it goes 2 1 we'll cave in.
Secondly, playing against 10 is often tougher than playing against 11 as the other side will become more compact so there is no guarantee we would have won in any case. We should have capitalised when we were on top but i failed to see us with any real penetration of their penalty box, we prefer to pass than shoot | | | |

They were a very dirty side and their gamesmanship and sh!thousery was amongst the best/worst I've seen at PR. We could and should have created more when on top in the second half but watching sides like Wednesday is pretty horrible. They were very much a League 1 side but a League 1 side on steroids, bit like Rotherham. |  |

In all fairness, we need to focus on ourselves, if we want to go up we shouldn't have to rely on referees or other external factors, we should be good enough to win games. Ref was very weak when it came to their gamesmanship, barely gave them a warning and didn't add on enough time given how much they were wasting. Keeper was taking 20 seconds with the ball in hand and twice that for goal kicks and the ref didn't even give him a talking to. Prior to the penalty the ref was letting lots go both ways, felt like after that he carried on letting a lot go from them but not from us. Both the free kicks their goals came from were soft and not the sort of foul we were getting in our favour. [Post edited 12 Feb 2023 14:19]

The penalty was missed. That someone else’s fault ?
This season we have had shocking refs, poor linos, “injuries” / time wasting and shiphousery like I’ve never seen before, pens given against, not given to us, fog, etc etc
But Plymouth, Sheffield Wednesday and soon to be Derby, will all had it and yet can win football matches where we draw ours.
If we actually did some of this stuff then maybe we will get out of this god awful division and move on.

There really is a genuine feel of being the victims around our supporter base which is just an absolute load of tosh.
Regardless of whether it was a pen or not - 9/10 you’re not getting that and yet we did. But still manage to talk ourselves into thinking we’ve been hard done by. | | | |

I’m talking about the reasons for their defensive record against ours throughout the season.
We moan that we are too soft and easily give leads away.
Then you all see Wednesday come here, prepared to time waste, get in the referees ear, kick and foul when required and you moan about them “cheating”.
They are showing the levels of gamesmanship that good teams have. They were here to get the job done, not to make friends or look good.
They’re more experienced but we need a bit more of that. Not being so naive as to moan about a team doing it right. | | | |
