It was in part to highlight how far we have not come. Where someones's sexuality is a matter for discussion rather than it not being any more of concern that anyones hair colour.
If I announced I was gay would it make that 'joke' any better or any worse ?
I think some on here should get off their high horse. I was fighting these battles when it was a coppers punch round the head, not some whingy clueless 'right on' poster on a football forum that you faced.
