One thing right, one thing wrong 09:05 - Apr 4 with 4538 views | bluelagos | Rommers' digging up an old post for an "I told you so..." got me thinking, when have you been absolutely spot on with and when have you done a Frimmers in public? The one I got right: Michael Clegg, 15 minutes into his debut (at Crewe?) I suggested he return to Old Trafford given his lack of footballing ability. He only played 3 games, not before costing us points that I think cost us promotion. Frimmers moment. Thought Roy Keane was just what we needed...

One thing right, one thing wrong on 15:13 - Apr 4 by Steve_M | Wrong: Sheepy was a financially savvy businessman who wouldn’t repeat the mistakes of the 80s in building new stands. Right: That Paul Hurst wasn’t going to work very early on, selling Webster cheaply was the first alarm bell, but the total collapse 20 minutes into the first game was clear evidence he was out of his depth. I was sceptical about Cook early on too but at least he had a track record at this level. |
To be fair, DS didn't repeat the mistakes of the eighties with the stands as they weren't the reason behind administration and Hurst had nothing to do with the sale of Webster!

No, different ones (plus ITV DIgital which wasn’t his fault) but would we have gone into administration without them? With Webster it was more the fact we sold him so cheaply, which I doubt MM would have acceded to, that caused me concerns. It was the start to the season that was the real problem.

One thing right, one thing wrong on 16:24 - Apr 4 with 1121 views | Funge | Right - Hurst was a lemon, from (I think) perhaps the second game in. Wrong - JET would be the best Ipswich player since the Robson era. I still love JET.

Yes, they weren't the issue, the issue was player contracts, which we were unable to offload as the transfer market collapsed, which we would have had had we built the new stands or otherwise.
One thing right, one thing wrong on 17:44 - Apr 4 with 1050 views | ITFC_Esquire | Right: During the years of stagnation in mid table champ I always said if we got relegated we might attract the right type of investors and shift Evans; which would ultimately be good for the club in the long run. Think we can all agree we are on the right tracks. Wrong: Blue tinted goggles telling everyone I know we are going up at the start of every season! Also defending Cook in the face of an atrocious record.

And I don’t actually remember us falling to pieces in the first game. Though I do remember that we didn’t press as I expected.

One thing right, one thing wrong on 18:12 - Apr 4 with 1014 views | The_Romford_Blue | Right - That the club would finally be back on a positive projection as soon as we had a change of ownership. That every one of those EVANS OUT! posts would prove to be exactly what was required for the future prospects of our football club. I think I couldn’t have been any more correct quite frankly. Gamechanger are everything that Evans wasn’t. Wrong - I was sure Paul Cook was the perfect manager for us and would get us promoted. Obviously it was clear after a while that this was not the case.

One thing right, one thing wrong on 22:05 - Apr 4 with 856 views | Coastalblue | Right, never ever wanted keane, more due to the fact I have an intense dislike of the man and never thought he was the right fit here. Wrong, told my missus (long since gone) that we'd never witness treacle in a Town shirt again after his debut.

The Stig merchandise rights in the last little while? This sounds like a man to steer well clear of.

One thing right, one thing wrong on 08:28 - Apr 5 with 634 views | GeoffSentence | I also have to admit that when JD was waiting for his work permit I was hoping it would be refused and we couldnt sign him. Actually, I 've been wrong on a lot of things. I honestly cant say there is much I have been right about, at least not much that everybody else wasnt also right about. The only thing I can possibly claim as a right thing was the KMcK would bring the Manchester United thing of the team arriving at the ground on the bus to FPR, but thats not much of a thing.
