It’ll cost them.

I'd take £20 million + Matt Targett.

£20 million for a very good championship left-back will probably be the going rate.

One good season in the PL and his value to rocket up - even a good half-season to the new year.

He’s a Premier League player now. These clubs including Newcastle with owners that could buy half the countries of the world can pay more than Championship prices for Davis. £35m is loose change to Newcastle’s owners. Laughably cheap so start higher and settle for that.

Ashton said that we were a soft touch (Webster deal). We aren’t now.

I wouldn't begrudge him the move especially if we get a huge payout!

They already have Lewis Hall and Tino Livaremento in - don’t see them paying big money for Leif.

I agree

Pope Francis would be fair as a p/ex

Perhaps not quite as mobile as Leif, but his blessings might save us this forthcoming season

Is it a bit odd for him to be talking about another club like that?

Considering he was hoping KM was gonna stay. Perhaps this was his attempt at following him out.

I dont think its any surprise or secret that Newcastle is his boyhood club, probably in the same way that if Luke Woolfenden was asked where he would most like to play, hes likely to say Man United.
Id be more surprised if he said hes got no interest in ever playing for his boyhood team, because he only dreams of Ipswich now.
It doesnt mean hes going to Newcastle tomorrow.

Are there any decent players out there whose lifetime ambition is to play for us?

I’m sure his Popemobile would be nearly as fast as Leif.

Macauley Bonne.

In all seriousness, Nick Pope. Could be leaving Newcastle this summer as well.

Quite cheap too at £30M, if it means we get access to the Catholic Church’s wealth. That’d be one hell of a transfer budget.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Having the Inquisition on the coaching staff might help encourage the lads in training too.

If KM goes to Brighton, they wouldn’t be able to afford him.

Newcastle aren’t allowed to spend their money and need to sell probably Bruno to stay within ffp.
