I'm totally out of touch with prices. That seems a lot but is probably the going rate.
I’m the same. I’m probably wildly out of touch but did wonder if this is a little much for a couple of championship players. I heard good things about Philogene last season although he wasn’t up to much against us, but know very little of Greaves.
I had wondered if maybe we’d set our sights a little higher and bring in some more proven top level players but it’s not like KM and MA have gone wrong before so no reason to doubt they know exactly what they’re after.

In this day and age (for a club like us) the ability to sell players on for more than we've paid for them is crucial to keep our heads above water. Hutchinson, Greaves and Philogene are all good players in the here and now, but one (or more) of them has the potential to go to that stratospheric level that pays for the next four or five at fees that are mentioned here.
We will bolster our ranks with experience in other ways, but it doesn't surprise me that our biggest outlays are going to be on these well thought-of younger players.

All we need to do is survive in the Premier league..its all about being above bottom 3 at the end of seasons for these investments in players to pay off..as we are then guaranteed the nxt 120 million or more..mckenna is building for the next few years and the owners know that. Finishing 17 is any bit as good as 12th or 11 th so on ..its about consolidation and then move upwards and maybe challenge for top 6...if we are relegated well if one of hutchinson or phylogene say score a lot we could sell one then at double or more plus with the parachute money. We be in a more stable position
