Absolutely wrong. The recent Adidas years were a total failure.

Worst kits Umbro have produced on 11:36 - Jul 6 by GlasgowBlue | The shield is an obvious nod to our inaugural Premier league season. |
Obvious to those of us that were there, or remember it, which probably isn't much of the fanbase commenting online about it. We had to point out last years was a homage to a 20+year old kit. This is a 30+ year reference detail.

One of the joys of getting older is that you do not have to give a shyte what people think. You dont have to be fashionable, you dont have to conform. Who cares? Make the most of it.

I was expecting the badge we knew about! Also, it is possible to objectively make good and bad kits.

Agreed, I don't get hyped about the home one, but I do look forward to seeing the away kit.

Worst kits Umbro have produced on 18:39 - Jul 6 with 1656 views | Tangledupin_Blue | My opinion... There is too much happening on the home kit... Would be better if: 1) the pinstripe and trim were the same colour. Either make the trim white or (my preference) make the pinstripe the darker blue. 2) the extra shield looks wrong. 3) the Umbro diamond logo should be the same colour as the trim and pin stripe. The away kit dark blue trim looks wrong. Would be better in the same gold as the club badge, Umbro logo and sponsor's logo... That's my two penn'orth.

Their template kits annoy me. I think there are several national sides who have this keeper template (at least Germany and Argentina, but I’ve seen it elsewhere as well). It’s lazy. If you’re selling tens of thousands of kits at £80 each, at least be original.

Switzerland’s is bad isn’t it. I don’t see the problem with ours. I think it’ll look pretty good in the flesh with the whole kit. Given the economics of manufacturing and retail, the look is probably the least problematic thing about it.

Worst kits Umbro have produced on 10:50 - Jul 6 by VanSaParody | Don't mind what designs are, but current badge doesn't need to return to the old one, but the red just needs to revert to yellow &... For goodness sake, will Umbro please stop hiding our 3 stars round the back back of the shirt like they're ashamed we've won 3 major honours, they MUST be returned to their rightful place, crowning our club crest COYFB's!!!! |
I think a while back on the KOA podcast, somebody said they were moved to the back, as there is a Premier League rule where you can't have them on the front of the shirt.

So in theory we could have a gambling company as a sponsor on the front but we will not be allowed to have three stars on the front….strange league.

...thanks Fenland, however, why do Notts Forrest get to have their two stars crowning their club crest on the front of their shirts, rather than hidden round the back?

Worst kits Umbro have produced on 15:43 - Jul 6 by RadioOrwell | Love the home shirt, the pin strip, the shield, all of it. If i was 10 and not 65 I would wear it all the time. As good as 22/23 - both better than anything for years. |
If you like it, wear it. Age is just a number. Don’t worry about the people saying adults shouldn’t wear the shirts etc. [Post edited 7 Jul 2024 9:05]

re the Umbro thing, we dont get the choice on that though. Its Umbros logo, theyre making the kit and sponsoring the team with the kit, its their choice, not a design choice from the club. and its just like it would be so much neater if the Prem Logo, and the numbers were gold on the away shirt to match the rest of the gold lettering detail (or the numbers on our away kit last season were navy instead of black). but we cant do that the Prem Logo has to be white because the Prem league say so and the numbers have to be readable for TV etc, and so it sticks out.

Worst kits Umbro have produced on 11:06 - Jul 6 by Pinewoodblue | Presumably most people buying will pay extra for Premier League badge on sleeve. |
If I were a buyer of such things, I'd actually pay extra NOT to have the Premier League badge on the sleeve. I'd have 'ANTI MODERN FOOTBALL' instead. Or at least I'm saying that now, but suspect I'll become a hypocritical tosspot on the 18th!
