Will put the 11 here once we have them. Need a mix of positions but will land on a formation later.

Dobra left after McKenna came in but was really a victim of the big squad overall and probably needed to go and play. If he'd been a year or two younger and coming through and now getting the chance to train regularly with the first team it would have been interesting to see how he developed. | |

Yes but is a strong shout for this. This is basically who would have done well under McKenna tutelage. Nobody who has played for McKenna meaningfully will make this 11. | |

Bishop and Lankester only really failed to kick on due to bad injuries. Not sure KM would've changed that, unless the medical team could've managed them better. | |

Not McKenna’s fault our academy players have never been stretched due to quality of opposition.
CAT 1 would have made a big difference to the development of our youngsters. |  |

Why Downes? He went on to play at a higher level consecutively, won a European trophy and is now a PL player. He also bossed the midfield at PR this season. I think he’s done alright all things considered without KM. | | | |

Humphries is a tough one for a few reason the main one being just how well Morsy and Mass have done as a pairing and how relatively fit they have stayed which has limited his opportunities
I suspect if Leif have picked up an injury he may have played LB a bit, which could end being his position
Is he robust to be a CM in the current Ipswich team??
Is he "agile" enough to be a No 10 in the current Ipswich team??

I'd say, for his age - still only 20 - he has not done badly.
Been reliable every time he was called upon. Scored some important goals.
Sure, he hasn't yet nailed down a regular starting place, but that's in a very high quality, double promotion winning, side, where some of the best performers are in his positions.
But he's still very young. He was born the day after Omari Hutchinson. There is plenty of time before he reaches anything like his prime. |  |
