The fact that, after everything, we are still interested & trying to get a deal done for Broja tells us just how highly McKenna must rate him & his potential in this side.
So I am inclinded to agree that he remains our #1 target, if agreement can be reached that satisfies Ipswich.
I'd love to hear somebody confirm the position with him potentially missing the next 7 weeks though; Hirst & Delap will surely be undroppable by the end of that timeframe! | | | |

Hirst had a few injuries now and 2 long term periods out, we might want 2 which would alllow delap to be used as striker but in other areas too. | |

They will get Broja done I suspect. Chelsea will be forced to renegotiate a little off i would have thought. Would have to go back in my posts but thought we would sign 8-10 players with 10 being more likely. Many that said this shot those people down and we’ve actually done even more business which has surprised me slightly. Fees this summer are out of control. True, but I have this theory
Delap will now compete with Clarke for left sided position if Fellows move isn't real, or cover up front if needed and right side cover too.
Broja, Foster, Hirst battle out for starting striker, they're will be injuries, suspensions etc, so it's a given that most likely there won't be a long period where all three are actually available.
But also, Foster or Broja can drop back and play the chappers, hutch role, so could be utilised there if needed to add more there too. Enabling us to have a strong starting lineup and a strong finishing lineup. [Post edited 29 Aug 2024 14:36]
