If we do go down and greaves and Davis still performs .we can sell both for 100 million and with the 40 million parachute. We can build an even better team for getting back up ..

I reckon when that time comes it'll be Liverpool

Jacob Greaves on 11:41 - Sep 15 with 7043 views | le2blue | He had an outstanding game, the only 'blot' on his performance was when he knocked it out for a corner when trying to clear for a throw-in, apart from that he was excellent. I am looking forward to seeing the outcome of McKenna and his team working with our backline over the next couple of weeks, they've not trained together for an extended period, so he will have a chance now to get stuck into them. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The big plus on being in the prem. Lots more training time. And tbh it's quite handy we did exit the cup as I think that game would either be this week or next. Games are good but at the moment the more training we can do the better imo. Esp with another Internaitonal break in about 4 weeks.

Jacob Greaves on 11:55 - Sep 15 with 6913 views | The_Romford_Blue | We’re a team known for our brilliant attacking football but our defence right now is the best we’ve had in my lifetime I’d say. Greaves and Leif are future England players and Axel is a Rolls Royce of a defender.

That is the Norwich way. Even when parachute payments reduced, they always had a player worth selling due to premier exposure. There problem was they tried to buy in some old hacks rather than reinvest and it's caught up with them. Quite surprised that even at championship level they have been able to sell at a reasonable price whereas we still appear to just offload players. Can't fault our transfer dealings otherwise. The players we have now got appear to have future value even if we fail in this league (which we won't)
Jacob Greaves on 12:37 - Sep 15 with 6742 views | NthQldITFC | He's top notch. Was it me, or was he tracking players way out from LCB yesterday? Even out to RCM at times I thought. Was that part of the plan with O'Shea and Phillips holding the fort while Greavsie went hunting? Might have just been my imagination and focus on a couple of phases.

That's problem with getting out of the PL cycle, they always got extra income which offset parachute payments and allowed them to yoyo Now they are out of the loop, it's a long way back

This is the advantage of the sustainable nature of our acquisitions. We might need to lose 2 or 3 for big money if we go down but we could sell the likes of Greaves & Hutchinson for example and double our money on them, and still be left with Delap, Clarke, Szmodics, Ogbene etc who would all be very dangerous at the level below. Could add Chaplin, Broadhead & Burns, Hirst into that too. Hopefully we don’t have that to consider though and we can stay up and build from there. Greaves though just looks so comfortable in the premier league. He’s got absolutely everything to his game.

I can see it. Partly as there isn’t a huge amount of quality traffic ahead of him for the left sided partner to Stones, and partly because he looks quality. I say there isn’t a lot of quality traffic, there’s actually loads but not 1 that really stands out yet. Guehi is class and a similar age, but Maguire & Gomez aren’t starting at club level so Greaves definitely has to be considered if he keeps this form up.
Jacob Greaves on 17:23 - Sep 15 with 5670 views | Esseeja | Unpopular opinion: I think he's better than Guéhi. Everything he's done as a CB so far has screamed England call up within the next year. £15M was the best heist of all time, and most people who watched him the last 2 seasons knew was playing far below his level at Hull. Him and Muric for (reportedly) £28M collectively feels like more than a heist honestly.

Jacob Greaves on 20:56 - Sep 15 with 5185 views | Cafe_Newman | He's a bright lad too as his stock is rising with every game. Jaded Philistine on the other hand is having to make do with 3-minute cameos each week if he's lucky. . At the end of the season, Barcelona will have a full 90 minutes of him running up to the corner flag as Villa manage the game out. Divtastic.

Once the European games and other cup matches start to kick in I think Philogene will get plenty of game time - even if they don't pick up too many injuries. Whether he takes advantage of those opportunities to stake down a regular starting place remains to be seen but they'll have to use their squad depth.

Jacob Greaves on 23:18 - Sep 15 with 4710 views | itfcsuth | He is some player, so aggressive with his defending, both on the ground and aerially. His valuation will be eye watering for this club. On a seperate note, I thought Axel Tuanzebe was absolutely outstanding, as a 1v1 performance against Mitoma, I can’t think of a better direct display against an opponent under in KMc time. On a free, proving to be one of our shrewdest pieces of business under KMc.
