Why is it a fact when it's wrong? Only 1 of the promoted sides currently sit in the bottom 3 It was far to early to be saying it but also its wrong anyway.

Ahhh thanks. A point made on the wireless was, 4 games played so that's 12 by the 3 promoted teams and not a win amongst them yet. Apparently that's not happened before

When Lineker says, and I quote, "None of the promoted teams are yet to win a game..." he is categorically wrong. All of the promoted teams are yet to win a game, you stupid, overpaid, jug-eared, crisp-munching, cheat-supporting, former England pitch-sh!tting hero. (I am not actually annoyed by the boy Line-acher as things stand, but I suspect I may be come the end of the season. I will then, however, have the consolation of seeing Leic*ster and Everton relegated, and Towen settled nicely in twelfth.)

That video doesn’t say anything about being in the bottom 3, it confirms what a slow start/point accumulation the promoted teams have reaped, like last season’s promoted teams, in comparison to previous seasons.

Is our up-and-coming manager lacking know-how though? I don't believe he's a contributing factor for explaining our winless run and I don't believe we're yet in the position of playing catch-up.

Spot on. Football pundits are generally waaay out of their depth when it comes to proper football analysis. These days the clever players go on to become managers while those that talk crap get jobs on the tele.

Yeah I appreciate that but I don't see the point of sharing that fact when there are still 3 clubs below us and two of which being established prem clubs. Their point was about the gap between the two leagues I understand but its null and void at the moment isn't it as its quite close regardless of how minimal wins the promoted clubs have had.

"None of the promoted teams are yet to win a game." So we have all won at least one, which is factually incorrect. Let them continue to think we all stand no chance and then they can say how wonderful we are when we stay up comfortably and say how they always believed in us. Who cares what those illiterate so-called experts think?

The gaps so big on 22:16 - Sep 15 with 3725 views | Vaughan8 | I mean the gap is big and there literally is no easy games in the league. But its too early to say after 4 games. I agree Leicester have the more experience, but also a lot of their players have tried and failed in the Premier League. For us, we've played 3 very good teams and so its very difficult to say we lack goals.......The next 5 we definitely have a chance to get points from all the games so we'll have to see where we are after then (9 games). It is difficult to not take these things "personally" but its just the premier league narrative

What we do lack is an out and out goalscoring striker but that wasn't a problem last year in the Championship Hopefully the likes of Szmodics, Clarke, Chappers, Burns, Broadhead and Ogbene, offset that issue

I'd suggest that there is a big gap between Southampton and us and Leicester. Then you have to look at who we played. Everyone loses to Man City, Liverpool are probably the third best team in the league, a point away at Brighton is very solid and a draw at home against Fulham wasn't a terrible result.
The gaps so big on 23:14 - Sep 15 with 3518 views | itfcsuth | The gap has been big for a long time, there is nothing new or revolutionary about that statement, and it doesn’t take a highly paid pundit to work it out - look at the financials of what you receive in PL compared to Championship, the PL clubs can bring in players and a different level to those in the Championship. I turned it off when Murphy essentially said KMc was lacking a little bit of ‘know-how’, a ridiculously untrue statement.

It’s also a fact that the only Premier League games we’ve lost so far have been against Liverpool and Man City… does that show such a gap between the Championship and the Premier League?

‘KMc lacking a bit of know how’? How would dimwit Murphy know that? What a berk. The wondrous analysis of a man who’d struggle to count beyond ten after he’d run out of fingers. Anyhow, the whole point of the PL is for the top clubs to hoover up all the money, all the best players, yoof, young old from here to Pluto. The dross beneath them? A few fodder clubs to legitimise an inherently unfair division and beneath that football doesn’t exist. We all know that. The pundits are there to fill out time as far as I can see. They never add any insight or value whatsoever. Literally a waste of time. But numbnuts Murphy egged and the rest of the high on the hog gang will no doubt just dribble on. Tools.

Or to put it another way: two well-established Premier League teams failed to beat newly promoted Ipswich Town. So, to re-frame the original MOTD hypothesis: In the light of the failure of both Fulham and Brighton to beat "fresh-from-the-Championship" Ipswich Town, can it be said that there is effectively no gap at all between the two leagues? The answer, of course is that Lineker and co are trying to draw sweeping correlations from a ridiculously small data set, and, to be frank, let's just wait and see, shall we?

We should be way ahead of Leicester, who should have point deductions. Can't be sanctioned by EFL because they were in EPL for some of the period, and vice versa. The rules seem to have been written by a committee of 6 year olds.

yes, classic lazy "analysis". However, it's very early days & it wouldn't surprise me if all 3 promoted teams are in for a relegation struggle. We have to hope that the poor starts by Everton, Palace & Wolves continue. We have some reasonable fixtures coming up, but I do think we need a couple of wins under our belt by the of October.
