O'Shea is utter pish. Awful game, giving me Delaney vibes.

Yes, he's "utter pish". In no way did he just have a bad day at the office. For goodness sakes!

The same Delaney that went on to play how many games for Palace in the Premier League?

130+?
I'd take the same from O'shea!

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

I do think O'Shea has been a downgrade on Woolfenden from what we've seen so far. IMO he isn't as comfortable - yet - when we're in possession, which puts greater pressure on midfield as he doesn't offer an outlet or get the ball out as well. But it is still very early for him, and it is probably a matter of giving him time to settle. He hasn't had a home game yet. Dismissing him as "utter pish" so early in his Town career is hardly helpful.

State of you!!

Embarrassment!!

Your posts have been as bad as I’ve seen on here ever today. You’ve criticised me for defending somebody who took positives from the game. Mind you this was during the game. I’m sure you’re reasonably pleased now.

I’d not want to be with you in the trenches you embarrassing melt.

O Shea had a good game today. I don’t know what you are watching? The goal came down Greaves and Davis side.

Thought the only thing he really did wrong was that dodgy free kick towards the end- otherwise he looked okay. Difficult game TBH and Diaz cheating didn''t help.

It's nothing to do with the goal, in the OPs defence - though O'Shea losing the runner (Fernandes/Archer) more than once could have resulted in us conceding again. But on the ball he was slow and ponderous. To me, he is not offering the same effective outlet to midfield when required and he is to slow to see an option moving forward. I mean, I know Woolfenden was criticised at times for slowing the game down, but at the moment, O'Shea takes even more time with the ball.

As I said in an above post, though, it is early days for him. Do I see him as an upgrade yet? No - not compared to Greaves against Burgess, despite the error today. But Greaves had pre-season with us to bed in. O'Shea hasn't had that opportunity. He's having to learn during competitive games.

This is dreadful from a town fan really. You've already made your thoughts clear elsewhere and essentially clear you just want Woolfenden to play. It's O'Shea's second start for us in the premier league. In those two games we have conceded 1 goal. Get a grip please and support the team and our players.

Whilst I agree with your overall point, I remember the 'support' Woolfenden generally received on here.

Why is it that anyone who thinks Woolfenden did well at the start of the season, and the treatment of him has been slightly harsh, must be a relative?

I appreciate and agree with those who say O'Shea is our player and should be supported. But there is an irony about certain people flocking to tell him that when not every player is given that opportunity - in particular, on here, Woolfenden.

For the record

I love Woolfy, think he was good, and could argue he’s been unlucky

But O’Shea is better imo. People are diggingO’shea out for no reason imo

Based on experience and historical performances, O'Shea should be an upgrade.

On this season's performances, to date, he isn't. For me, today, he could have cost us two goals by losing the runner and his passing game in the second half, playing out of the back being key to the way we move the ball, was poor. But he does need to be given time to settle in.

From a personal point of view, I guess I love the idea of having an academy player in the line up - especially as he's the last player standing from the Evans era. I also felt he was one of our better performers in the opening three games, yet has been cast aside whilst other players, who played worse, are continuing to build up their appearance count. But they're probably my issues to solve!
