12 games in, only won one, in relegation zone 11:39 - Nov 25 with 3032 views | BlacknGoldnBlue | But there is huge optimism in the supporters that we'll be OK. Obviously none of us know but find a club with a similar record where supporters are so optimistic. Our performances and ability to compete this season will hopefully repay the optimism we all feel! But in all honesty where do everyone think we will finish in the table?

12 games in, only won one, in relegation zone on 12:02 - Nov 25 with 2817 views | jasondozzell | I think we will really surprise people. KMac has probably only had most of full squad to pick from in the last 3-4 games and look at the performances/results. It was always going to be a race between KM's coaching and integrating the new players to the system and culture and getting everyone used to the level versus time/points. I think we've made a really good start in that race and we're probably ahead of where we might have been. We are holding our own now and I expect us to continue to improve. We've not been cut adrift at all. We need to keep our nerve and not let noise disrupt us. McKenna is too good for us to go down. He's built another team that is going to defy odds.
12 games in, only won one, in relegation zone on 12:26 - Nov 25 with 2668 views | Vegtablue | A lot may depend on our ability & luck in keeping key players fit, as it's hard to escape the feeling that we have so little margin for error in a few positions. Delap's enormous for us, so too Tuanzebe, Leif feels it, O'Shea and Cajuste have been so lately, I'd worry if we lost Omari for a lengthy period.. our depth understandably isn't quite there compared to others and we'll only be able to do so much work in January. Losing Hirst is a huge blow. Southampton are a good team really, just not good enough to survive 90' playing how the manager wants them to, and two better teams will join them. Keep the boys healthy and I'm very optimistic we won't be one of those, but with competition this fierce I wouldn't honestly be surprised either way. 15-19th would be my spread if allowed a range of five positions.

12 games in, only won one, in relegation zone on 12:35 - Nov 25 with 2586 views | ElderGrizzly | It was interesting reading social media yesterday and fans, alongside some journalists (who clearly don't know us) were saying why hasn't McKenna been sacked when Cooper went with a better record. I think we'll finish 16th, but will need an additional couple of first team players (striker, RW) in the Jan window to get there. Another CM if Luongo moves on too. I should add, I don't think it is going to look pretty for us at the end of December from a league position perspective, but expect us to have a better 2nd half of the season.
12 games in, only won one, in relegation zone on 12:44 - Nov 25 with 2540 views | Guthrum | We are not quite a third of the way through the season, so plenty of points to compete for. We've "only" lost five games, which is respectable. We are by no means adrift of the teams above us (3 points off West Ham, in 14th). If Town can continue the trend of performing well, looking more cohesive and scoring goals most games (9 out of 12), with few or no long term additional injuries, then I see no reason why we can't pull ourselves respectably clear of the relegation zone by the end of the season. We have a stability advantage, too, lacking the off-field angst and managerial precariousness of many other clubs. Fans might be a little prickly over the media/pundits looking down upon Ipswich, but generally we're pretty comfortable in our skins and building player confidence*. * It will take a while to get used to what you can do and get away with in a new division, especially one as hyped-up as the Prem. The penny has to drop that they are here on merit and just as good as (most) of these other guys.

12 games in, only won one, in relegation zone on 13:24 - Nov 25 with 2311 views | Garv | It was clear from pre-season we had a much bigger feel-good factor compared to the other promoted sides, and that's continued beautifully. Martin is just constantly depressed by the looks of it and that rubs off on his team, and Leicester don't know what they're doing. We just need the likes of West Ham, Palace and Wolves to get (or stay) sucked in. I predicted 14th before the season and I'm tempted to stick with it. Can't see us not improving as the season goes on and we love a bit of January recruitment, which is needed.

12 games in, only won one, in relegation zone on 16:15 - Nov 25 with 2081 views | ringwoodblue | I think it will depend on whether we can keep our key players like Morsy, Davis, Hutchinson and Delap fit. If we can, we have a real chance to stay up but without them it’s going to be extremely difficult. Either way I cant see us finishing above 17th if I’m being completely realistic. Assuming Saints are staying at the bottom, we are looking at us staying ahead of two from Palace, Leicester and Everton as I think Wolves will improve and climb to mid-table.

Forest (A) Palace (H) Bournemouth (H) Wolves (A) Newcastle (H) If we can get 6-9 points from them going into two free hits vs Arsenal/ Chelsea then you'd really fancy us to get to that 35 point barrier which gets you to 16th/ 17th.

I agree with what you’re saying about the next five matches but not about ‘free hits’. In my little head at least, free hits are almost nonexistent against teams in the same division.

Turn the draws into wins and we will finish around 15th, but I’ll be happy with 17th. It takes a few months to get used to the Premier league which means we have an awful lot of catching up to do now that our form and results are improving. Teams like Palace and Wolves have much better depth to their squads. Everton will claw their way out of it. We need better results than Southampton, Leicester and probably one of Wolves, Palace, Everton and West Ham from now until the end of the season. We also need to take points from those teams .

Tightened up at the back in the last two and we have goals all over the team and that's a good place to be. Not been outclassed by Liverpool, Villa or Man Utd.
