I park in Chantry, Campion Road/Wallers Grove that area. Walk straight across Gippeswyk park to save some time. 15 minute walk I reckon. Can be interesting walk back across the park in the pitch black though as zero lighting once you start going up the hill.

Don't know if it's a wise place to park, but I've not returned to find my car on bricks. Or returned to not find my car at all!

I tend to park in streets off or near to the old Wherstead Road just south of the Co-op.

The last time it was Hartley Street, and before that I have parked along Sinclair Drive or Bromley Close.

I hate to point out the obvious, but have you tried Gatwick?


I park up around Chantry somewhere and walk across the park. Some people might be a bit unsure about Chantry, but it’s a lot nicer than many of the places I have to park over this way, so doesn’t worry me (bit of a cross reference to Illi’s Norwich/Ipswich thread).

Not free, but there are quite a few garages/industrial units that open up their car parks on match day for a cheaper fee. I use the one on Portman Walk which is a five minute walk to the ground.
