What is it with one numpty asking about WiFi.

WiFi would be an enhancement. At a 1 million quid not one we would wish to afford. But it wasn't a daft question. BTW I didn't ask it.

youd think with a gigantic screen and electronic advertising they could somehow show the scores at halftime...Im sure that used to be a thing back in the day, and having them read out.

That would make sense. They used to read them out at one time and before that they had an alphabet that corresponded to fixtures in the programme and somebody would put the scores against them at HT a bit like an old cricket scoreboard. Not sure they were ever right!

Personally, I don’t look at my phone in the ground. Can’t be bothered and it can wait. But then I don’t look at it or bother with the car connection either, though I have synched it. Each to their own.

I did phone Mrs C on the final whistle of the Wembley 2000 game so she could hear the crowd. Bit daft really as they had the tv on. The decisions you make after a day on the beer.

Perfectly reasonable question, most places have wifi these days. I'd like to read what the good and the wise of TWTD are saying at half time, which is otherwise a pretty boring 15 minutes. But if it's doable and not too expensive, obviously. No harm asking though.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I actually asked the guy next to me in V3 yesterday what network he was on, as he had no trouble getting updates from SKY, whereas my 5G reporting O2 was running like an unplugged 28.8k modem…

Nice bloke though. One of the things I like about going to matches by myself, the random conversations with strangers.

What was his answer?

I get full 5G with Three in the ground, never have an issue, watched Peppa Pig the other night for the last 10 as I thought we were cruising to a nice solid 1-0 win.

I'd agree.

I went to Carrow Road in the summer to watch St Pauli, and even they have WiFi in the stadium. I'm not sure if the relatively low crowd was a factor, but it worked well and was surprisingly quick.

If they can afford it, I can't see why we shouldn't be able to.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

The difference is that they have had over a billion pounds from Sky.

Not sure if spend on WiFi affects our PSR, but need to be careful what we spend to allow maximum on player recruitment. It might not sound like much, but every little counts.

There were a few drips around, plus some water droplets falling from the roof, my son said about it and I said it was condensation from the roof.

"There were a few drips around"

I trust the rest of the crowd were supporting, not booing, the players & KM when the f-t whistle went

On the WIFi thing, could it not be done as a paid subscription? Even just say, a fiver for the season to access it, could mitigate some of the cost.

Revenues were £13m, now £153m. Rocket ship not going to stop. Will move forward with power and pace. If not, those up the road will move ahead of us. Not on my watch. This board wake up every morning aiming to make this club better.

Getting success is relatively easy, sustained success harder. Results not what we want but not far away. Learn about staff, club and everyone in this circumstance. Club special, only way we can move forward is together. We move as one, stay together as one through good times and tough times. Club is too big to back to where it was.

Revenues up, like what he's saying, but lets see what the ticket prices are like next year.

Prices likely to go up, supply and demand would suggest there is scope, as well as being the cheapest in the Premier League.

Could easily see a 5% increase for Season ticket holders and don’t think it would deter any renewals.

MA asked re Soccerex comments. Stability is built over time, relationships developed over time. Can't be done short-term. Said five years when I came in, that's not enough, club is so big. That's why all got to be together and be in it for the long term.

Soccerex thing if anyone missed it.

FWIW, I remember going to league 1 Wycombe away back in 2021, and their stadium had perfect Wi-Fi across the whole ground. Having spoken to fans there, they've apparently had it installed since 2015. I can't imagine they've had billions in funding from Sky to allow that!

Countering that however, Wembley stadium is sponsored by EE, and reportedly has the "best stadium covereage in the UK" yet I can never check the scores at half time of an England fixture!

Wycombe average capacity would make it a lot easier.

he's probably on EE or Voda.
Both perform better at PR, and in Ipswich generally than O2 and 3.

O2 has significant capacity issues in many areas of the country.

My nephew laughs at me because I get grumpy when I get told the scores/results in the ground, because I still like those rare days when I can watch MOTD without knowing the scores
