Listen. I think it’s fair enough. Fair-weather fans are inevitable. They weren’t here when we were rubbish so they’ll naturally be less engaged.. We need their income. It would just be nice if they actually stuck it out and supported the team rather than yelling how bad we are and leaving. There will always be reasons for leaving early. LOADS left early today.

Maybe not but you've got to take the bad results to the end to fully enjoy what the good results mean.
It wasn't as bad as the Toon army leaving their game yesterday, but it's disappointing. Part of me was sitting there thinking look we've only got 7 games in the Premiership left this season, maybe for a while if we get relegated. It took 20+ years to get back here, you might never see those Man City players or that team at Portman Rd again in your lifetime, why would you leave ?

I've been a ST holder for years, your characterisation of people who leave early as fairweather is miles off.
Today I made the decision to leave at 85 so I could avoid the traffic and see my little one before he goes to bed after what was a pretty rubbish afternoon.
People make decisions for a vast array of reasons. Life is easier if you don't worry about them and just do your thing. | |
