I would think he'll go with Kane, Solanke & Watkins. They're qualifiers and his first games in charge, I don't think he'll be in the market to experiment too much. Had they been friendly games it might've been a different story but in his shoes I probably wouldn't call Delap up now. His time will certainly come. | | | |

I think he's got a decent chance. Pundits have been banging on about him for a while, which means he must be in the conversation. You have to have one really really capable strong target man at the highest level these days, at least in the squad. There's nobody like him within at least 5 years of his age, so I would bring him into the England fold now on the expectation that he will leave unfashionable Ipswich at the end of the season. He has the potential to become THE England number 9, and that is exciting.
