I’m sure he’s a lovely bloke but his incessant cackling and tw@tting about in front of the cameras drives me crazy.. you get him and Carragher together and it’s an assault on the senses.

I like him standing up to Keane. As I say, I can understand where you are coming from. It's not what analysis should be all about but I don't mind it. To be fair, there is very little worthwhile analysis from any of them.

I find the Carragher x Neville axis of “rivalry” etc more annoying for some reason. Richards and Ian Wright alongside McCoist at least bring a bit of love for the game to proceedings. Some of the cardboard mumblers that get a gig are far worse.

The co-commentator for the Sheffield derby on Sky was very irritating today (Goodman or Hinchcliffe still stealing a living?) - constantly slagging off what players should have done and providing no actual insight. The worst thing about relegation is being subjected to those wallies again.

Most annoying TV pundits on 16:20 - Mar 16 with 3057 views | carlo88 | I think it's because I'm getting old and cranky but I'm finding the whole hyperbolic football scene a bit much these days, and yes Micah Richards is unbearable. Even the car ads he's on are infuriating, I have to mute the TV far too often these days. Some of the new female commentators and pundits are excellent though; I really like Courtney Sweetman Kirk on Sky and Pien Meulensteen is probably the best, most economical football commentator on TV, male or female. Some aren't, particularly a certain BBC presenter who grins constantly as she's talking. Steve Wilson is probably the best BBC commentator. Gillette Soccer Saturday is borderline unwatchable these days, half of it is ads for Sky, the 12.30pm live summaries don't work and the presenter is just boring, why they didn't give Julian Warren the gig I'll never know. Best thing about it now is the mostly excellent reporters they have at the grounds, and Harriett Prior ;)

My word, Clive Tyldesley just described today’s game as “English football’s Super Bowl Sunday”. What is going on? When will this madness stop?

This. His new hilarious gimmick is saying "game over" whenever one of the bottom three go 1-0 down. I am convinced he is only kept on due to his past issues. As a pundit he is terrible.

I find it as exciting as the SuperBowl. Actually more so but that is because I have no interest in American Football at all. Is the comparison because the trophies are similar shapes?

Most annoying TV pundits on 18:01 - Mar 16 with 2577 views | bsw72 | All of them. Just blathering on, filling time and adding no value. Quite why coverage starts 30, 60 or even 90 mins before kick off and the carries on for at least 30 mins after the final whistle baffles me. So called analysis is more often than not stating the obvious or irrelevant. On commercial channels it is all just about selling advertising slots in the breaks, not even sure why bbc do it?!?

It's absolutely painful watching him on Soccer Saturday. Can barely string a sentence together. In fact, Soccer Saturday is a painful experience all round. I often have it on while doing some work on the laptop and the shouts of 'goal' etc as they try and outdo each other is excruciating. Yes, I know. Dont watch it then.

Most annoying TV pundits on 18:08 - Mar 16 with 2539 views | Kieran_Knows | Not pundit, but Peter Drury as a commentator just does my head in. When you only heard his commentary every few months (the Roma-Barcelona game from a few years springs to mind), he was alright. But when you hear his hyperbole commentary after a routine finish, every weekend, it definitely grates on you (well it does for me). So boring now.

Couldn’t agree more - half his commentary is obviously preprepared, and that constant search for another Aguero moment whenever someone shoots… well, maybe he should realise he isn’t the main character

The ITV commentator today was driving me up the wall. Just waffling on with inane nonsense. Why use 5 words when you can use 50, eh?
