It really is a brilliant city. Not that I go doon Toon much these days.
I love living in South Tyneside, excellent beach, close enough to the city, close to Weardale for some countryside, off up to Seahouses, Alnwick, Morpeth, all lovely.
When I get home from sea and get the taxi home, I love seeing St James’ Park, the Tyne Bridge, then on to the Felling bypass which is a decent portion of the GNR. Ah it’s good to be hyem. |  |
