Got to say I was shocked about the amount of hate coming from arsenal fans towards us yesterday.
The songs about us going down and general glee of beating us was something that was bit odd and surprised me.
Done all games home and away this year and yesterday was by far the worst in terms of hatred towards us.
It's like we are a real relevance to them in terms of rivalry as this started well before the pre Davies challenge which obviously stoked the flames more.
After the match outside the ground it felt like they couldn't wait to rub it in our faces our downfall
Can understand when we played Southampton , wolves and Leicester at home them giving us some after the match but bloody arsenal
All very odd.

They’re like it to most clubs. Out of all the fans they tend to be the most ungracious of winners and losers, seem to think they are entitled to win everything and when they don’t it is everyone’s failt apart from the players. My wife is a Londoner but even she wouldn't want to live there. It's an overrated sh*ithouse where their prices reverberate out to places like East Anglia making house prices and goods more expensive because it is thought we all get massive wages and bonuses like the City. Ipswich as a Premier League side (currently) in no way have a divine right to that status. We have paid dearly for maybe getting there a couple of seasons too early. I do think a serious change of strategy needs to take place. The type of players we buy and the way we play. But it won't be easy to turn things around despite many seeming to think we will walk back into the Premier League. Yes, even after those that will leave we still have a good group of players, but it's what we get in place of those that leave will have the biggest bearing on where we finish and how if promoted we perform again in the Premier League. | | | |

Arsenal do not hate Ipswich.
My view on my visit to Portman Road.
Getting to the ground - public transport and local parking was very good
Away supporters pub the Station Hotel - one of if not the best away supporters pubs in the country.
Stewards and Policing - Both were very good, friendly and welcoming.
Stadium - Excellent stadium, loved the safe standing!
25th minute applause for Louie was respected by both sets of fans
Arsenal songs - up until the 32nd minute Arsenal’s main song was “Arsenal at the Bernabeu, du du du du du du, Tottenham watching Emerdale.
Leif Davis’s foul on Saka - A foul that could have ended Saka’s season, deserved red card which was clear from where I was standing. How would Ipswich fans have reacted if they were about to play in a Champions League semifinal and another teams player made a mindless challenge?
Ipswich fans applaud Leif Davi’s off of pitch and boo Saka. Arsenal chant something that I will not repeat.
Fans in Sir Bobby Robson Stand start singing 2nd again.
Arsenal change their song to Ipswich Town going down and a few other songs aimed at Ipswich.
After game I would say it was 50/50 with both fans ribbing the others, nothing serious.
I hope Ipswich win the championship next season and return to the premiership as I look forward to returning to Portman Road.

You sound like the last time you visited London was the 1970's. There's a lot of us on here that live in London and I can assure you very few of us are earning massive wages and bonuses like the City.

From our point of view I think the belief at the time was Saka was milking the challenge. Not that it was a good one, but everything after was an over-reaction. Him playing on for another half hour or so without issue re-enforced that. I think the big thing is Arsenal fans were far closer to it than the majority of Ipswich fans, and no one got a chance of seeing a replay. It then be and part of the panto feel of the game because, frankly, we didn't have anything else to cheer. | |

FA Cup 1978 was the only time I disliked Ipswich, I was 14 paid £17.50 for a ticket and we got outplayed by Ipswich. We then played Ipswich in the first game of the 78/79 season, where there was crowd trouble……but it was the 70s and things were a lot different then.
