Their exec’s statement was a classic. “We appointed him as a long term project but results in the short term mean we have no other choice to make a change.” Hopefully this panicky move will set off a chain of instability and misery for those yellow bastards.

“We appointed him as a long term project but results in the short term mean we have no other choice to make a change “

There’s logic there somewhere right ?

Anyone with any sense of purpose and direction will steer clear of their club. Their days are numbered ….hopefully

If Russell Martin goes there then he will have them playing some good football and be a threat again.

He's a good manager and the shoe fits. But let's see what they actually do.

They are in a mess? Are the Americans putting money in? But then again you have to go down to do that really like we did. The rules are better down there if my memory serves me correct.

The boy Knapper is to blame for much of this. A totally wrong appointment from Day One and has zero 'real' football experience. The Americans now need to contact Danny Rohl and pay whatever it takes for him to take the job.

Sounds like he's losing his way a bit at Wednesday, but he's pretty well thought of and I'm not sure he'd view you as an upward step now, would he? Any chance Knapper gets the heave-ho too, do you reckon.

Why the heck would Rohl go to you? He'll have bigger fish to fry and bigger budgets to work with too.

I thought Southampton or Leicester, after the bin diving Dobbin, were after him. He’s done a great job at Wednesdays all things considered.

If they get rid of their only decent players in Sargent and Sainz (from the first half of the season) and take another Thorup-style gamble this could be a Paul Hurst-esque perfect storm

Martin would also see Norwich job as below him now too?

They just won't be an attractive proposition for the likes of Martin, O'Neill, Dyche as they will want a team with PP, Norwich are losing their key players, most of the goals and don't have huge finances.

They look like we did towards our last season in the Championship before the drop...

Ha ha ha. That's probably true too. Tho delusions on both sides if they don't see it as a decent potential pairing.

Let's see how they shape up once the summer window has closed. They haven't struggled to score goals this season, they've just been very poor defensively.

If they can hold on to Sargent who I believe is going into his final year, then they will have a chance at the top 6 again. Players like Duffy aren't good enough and need to be moved on (easier said than done though which is probably the issue they're having with a few players still).

Sargent just isn't going to stick around for years more Championship football after scoring 15+ in each of the last three years.

He's 25 and if Burnley/ Leeds/ last promoted team don't take a punt on him improving his 21/22 PL tally I'm almost certain he will get an MLS move given he's in the national team and plenty of money is being thrown about to the likes Latte-Lath & Almiron.

Martin wouldn't be the end of the world.

For all the beautiful possession footy, he's never really overachieved and put together a really great season. Even last year, they probably underachieved.

And Mckenna is unbeaten against him ...

MK Dons

19/20 - 18th
20/21 - 13th

Swansea

21/22 - 15th
22/23 - 10th

S'oton

23/24 - 4th
24/25 - 20th

It isn't even beautiful, it's boring as sh*t. Up to the point they give away the ball outside their own 6 years box. You're definitely right inthat Martin has only ever underachieved
