Can’t really blame him but got to think he will be a miss judging by what he’s like with players after games (wins). Wonder if we will promote from within or recruit in new?

I think it could be a good thing. When you work with the same people you eventually understand extract how they think, and what they know. A refresh of ideas will enable McKenna to get fresh input into the coaching setup.

This is no slant on Lee Grant, who is clearly very highly rated, but fresh energy is no bad thing imo, if we can recruit well.

Don’t see how it can be a good thing. He’s absolutely loved by the players and McKenna, a top coach. Going to be a really big appointment to replace him, need to get it right.

I've heard players praise Burley for regularly changing his first-team coaches, Bryan Hamilton, Stewart Houston, Tony Mowbray and John Gorman all came and went.

He's always been quite open about his managerial ambitions hasn't he? So inevitable this would happen eventually.

Mark Hudson should step up, he did well in helping other teams score against us.

Great opportunity for Lee Grant.

Hope he does well there. I think league one looks quite winnable for a team like Huddersfield next year so could be a good move. I thought Duff would be a guaranteed success there with his Barnsley work but that didn’t go great so maybe something a bit different is what they need. I know the players absolutely love Lee Grant and McKenna trusts him implicitly to do a lot of heavy lifting. So a shame to lose him. I’d bet on their strikers to notch a fair few goals next year after what he did with Ladapo and Hirst among other. Clear improvement in them. If he fancies taking Mark Hudson with him that would be fine.

As for us a chance for a new coach to come in and make a mark.

Don’t use X!

I should post this after every X link on here. Or maybe not, I’m not on here enough to keep track.

Seriously though, I’d be all for ITFC/TWTD boycott of Twitter/X. The amount of hate on there at the moment is off the charts and the organisation is happy with that, and seems to be encouraging it.

As good a job as the manager and the coaches have done , perhaps it’s time to get some new blood in and think outside the box , differing views and ideas

Always good to have new input every so often in addition to wanting to see staff go onto greater things themselves of course

Evolution innit

Ahh..Freddie Ladapo. Failed to score in 21 games for Huddersfield, after 1 goal in 14 games on loan at Charlton. He did well for us & was exactly what we needed at the time, but has he gone downhill!

I don't see any of the hate on there.

As I've said many times before, it's all down to who you follow, and who you allow to follow you (and be careful with trending hashtags).

It's great for thousands of interest groups. I'm in gardening, dogs, anti-Freeports, anti-Trump, art, poetry, medical, sports, photography, travel, TV & radio etc & many others.

I agree with this. New blood, change is never a bad thing, providing the right person (whatever that is) is brought in.

I’d also say that in my working life I always got a real buzz out of helping people progress. Much more than I ever did the work looking back. So LG getting that job is great for him, hopefully Huddersfield, reflects well on ITFC and of course McKenna.

Yep, evolution.

We need a reset but hard to say how much we play is down to him or McKenna, defensively we must change if we are to get anywhere near surviving the Corruptship.
