This is a very important stat - well spotted. Judging leif purely on his assists last season vs. the 18 he got in the championship is pretty unfair. An assist might be passing the ball 2 yards to a player who smacks it into the top corner from 40 yards out. However putting a perfect cross onto the head of someone unmarked 6 yards out who misses does not count as an assist. |  |

Indeed. With the disappointment of how the season panned out it’s easy to overlook some of the details and some of the excellent individual performances at times. Interesting stats on Hutch. As fans we obviously want someone to make the most of those dangerous balls so we can win games, but the scouts/analysts won’t worry so much about that. I’m sure there’ll be quite a bit of interest in a few of our players. | |

That is interesting, especially on how quick he is — hadn’t realised that.
So at least some of us are agreed he’s a top quality player.
I think we’re just assuming we keep our best players (apart from Delap) say goodbye to some of the squad players and then sign a few reinforcements. I think Omari and Leif will get offers. | | | |

If you offered me the option of keeping Delap for next season but losing Hutchinson, I'm not sure if I'd take it.
And that's from someone who didn't think Hutchinson totally lit up the Championship, I think he was only starting to really show himself towards the end of that season.
In the PL he's improved massively over the season. Struggled physically at the start but since Autumn time he's largely been very good. |  |

I was talking to an ex-player the other day and he felt Premier League managers will see the issues Town had down that flank as down to the system and his more advanced role rather than Leif himself. |  | | |

With the raw stats he and Hutch have I think we'll do really well to keep them. Managers/scouts are going to see through the teams league position and see what these guys did in a losing team and know that that the results really weren't down to them. Neither of them are at their ceiling so I doubt we'll start the season with them. | |
