I thought he was supposed to have been impressive on loan at Villa? I could be wrong. He is a good player. Yes, a possible question mark over attitude, but if you’re not getting picked by a fraud of a manager who’s tanking a once great club I’ve got some sympathy for him. |  |

But was he that good? I thought as always he was vastly overrated and showed some moments of quality but certainly didn’t show the form of a player on over £300k a week.

Forget the wages. Is any player ever worth that? Clearly Barcelona think he is value for the overall package they are paying compared to other options they would have.

Exactly. Both Ten Haag and Amorim have both used some utd players as scapegoats who seem to quite happily perform when not being managed by them.

Inclined to agree but he did have a very public bender in Belfast and then basically go AWOL last season or season before I think.
In your mid 20s as a senior guy and England international, no real excuse for doing that albeit sounds an isolated incident.

In the last 4 season I think he’s only managed to score double figures in the premiership once. Hardly amazing return, he had a great start to his career but hasn’t fulfilled the promise.
I watched him at Portman Road for Utd where he scored a goal in first few minutes and then went missing for the rest of the match and that’s seems to be the story of Rashfords last few seasons.
Perhaps a move abroad will do him good but i think he has an amazing agent to have got this move. | | | |

I think that’s the main issue. On that sort of money you’d be expecting one of the best players in the prem & he’s been nowhere near that level for the last while.

It is to do with ffp and why they have been told it's one out, one in.
They probably are paying most of his wages but not all.
He isn't going to Barça to sit on the bench. They wanted Nico Williams earlier in the window to play on the left. He may have used the interest to get a new long and lucrative contract at Athletic Club but Barça were clearly looking for someone to play on the left. The added bonus is that Rashford can also play central which wouldn't have been an option with Williams.
There was also talk of Rashford joining Barça last Summer so with the Williams deal falling through it was a pretty obvious loan to be made. | | | |

Yeah I think he’ll take over that Villa form and can fill in anywhere along the front three. He’s been hopelessly managed for a few years at United, I think he’ll do fine at Barca. |  | | |
