I think the OP was asking a genuine question in the outset.
If Ben reads the thread (which he has), then he'll see a lot of supportive posts.

Tries far too hard to be neutral in my opinion - this thread won’t go down well either, everytime anyone say’s anything even slightly negative about him on here/social media he can’t help but mention it on the pod.

Is he? Just had a look at his independent channel, most the views are below 10k, quick scan and I can’t see any ads on the videos, so I assume YouTube themselves aren’t actually paying him much, if anything - it’ll be sponsors etc keeping it afloat I assume.
Most creators I work with who get get paid from YouTube need at least 100k subs before it’s any kind of real money, he’s well on the way with 50k, neat that he’s managed to get press access though!
I have no idea what his other shows are actually like content wise - never watched them as I’m not a particular fan of his style, just get a bit bored of him constantly over doing the ‘balance’ on Blue Monday.
Really enjoy what Blue Monday do as a whole, but Bloom’s attempts at ‘balance’ his whinging about the chat/social media and the 9000 Office quotes an episode are probably my least favourite part - each to their own though! [Post edited 31 Aug 23:39]

I joke - I don’t feel the need to go into specifics, don’t want it to seem like I’m digging the fella out, I know how hard it is to talk on camera and he’s clearly a very good presenter and he’s surrounded himself with guys with really great football knowledge who do give balanced opinions without labouring it- Ben’s style just personally isn’t to my taste and often find him a bit difficult watch compared to the others on what on the whole is a fantastic production.
All that being said- I’d still rather watch a Ben Bloom episode of Blue Monday than any other ITFC pod (maybe with the exception of TWTDTV, enjoyed what they did last season) | | | |

He's a top bloke, great singer and keyboard player. Gets paid for his well established coverage of the championship. Doesn't live in Ipswich anymore for work reasons but I will happily defend this guy to the death |
I 100% agree, I've listened to Blue Monday since its inception and bumped into Ben in the car park at Barnsley in 2023. He's as genuine a Town fan as they come.
The wider Bloom family had Norwich connections (I used to live next door to some of them in Mildenhall in the early '80s) but Ben's the real deal from a blue perspective. |  |
