There's 2 Ben Blooms - was the other one whi did the Guardian report.
Blue Monday Ben did some work on the EFL show before they striped it back and made some good contacts. His weekly Championship Check-in with Sam Parkin is well worth a listen.
I work in a post truth world 😂 Good spot!

I enjoy the BM pods
Ben and all the team are excellent and in the main level headed about most things.
There was a POD in the championship promotion season that after a poor run came across a little negative and I alluded to it on a random post on here. Ben then referenced it back on the POD and seemed a little offended when there was no offence meant.
Aye, does seem to be a light persecution complex at times, but I get it, the scrutiny when you’re a public figure online can feel a bit disproportionately intense.
Just got to ignore it in public and laugh it off in private.

Most certainly a Town fan and one who offers intelligent content online which I really enjoy. He has steered clear of sensationalism/stupidity which is probably why he is deservedly doing well. What a shame you have taken an opportunity to unnecessarily have a cheap swipe at him.

Just bizarre that we don't ever see him away...
Why is that bizarre? I am a Town fan, I do most home games, but i'm 35 now and haven't been away since my dad took me as a teenager... and I don't have a career in football that may impact my availability during times when the football is on.

Just thinking more on this. I don't doubt BB is an Ipswich fan, but would it matter if he wasn't?
I am a critic and write every day about things I don't necessarily knew a lot about before researching, or even liked after experiencing them. In many ways, it makes a journalistic opinion more valid as they are not swayed by romance, loyalty, or tinted glasses. It is possible to know a lot about something, be an excellent interlocuter on it, but not have it "in your veins" so to speak.

Ah yes, I've been looking for the word to describe that, and persecution complex is spot on! I do find it abit grating that every pod you get a notice of 'ooh please if you are going to comment make sure it's only stuff I agree with'. Although actually, that is probably what makes him so popular with TWTD posters .
I do enjoy his content. Will listen to most Blue Mondays and catch the stuff on his own channel from time to time. He is very knowledgable, insightful and balanced, and seems a nice chap, as others have said. Just would like to see him be a little less thin-skinned and precious, but that's just my taste. Prefer people like StuntPegg who have the same knowledge but don't take themselves quite so seriously.
And also I am not about gurning like a simpleton on your thumbnails, but fully appreciate its step 3 in the 'how to make your fortune on YouTube' and so comes with the territory.
Keep up the good work all at Blue Monday!

Also, and whilst I can confirm Ben is [clearly] an Ipswich fan - the host on the shows that Ben presents are there to elicit opinions from the pundits.
I tend to refer back to Ben on wider Championship views as he is much more dialled in to that than I am, in the same way that I am more dialled in with Ipswich - because of our roles on the pod

He doesn't say 'ooh please if you are going to comment make sure it's only stuff I agree with'. You've just made that up. He says 'If you are going to comment please make it respectful'.
I watch every Blue Monday show and haven't found him to be thin skinned at all.

Used to go on the away coaches with him back in the day, along with ginger clax from the ticket office (RIP) It was reported from a a very good friend of mine that at chantry 6th form BB did sport a Norwich branded top on an occasion or 2. Could have been worn as a wind up, unsure of the details.
Defo a town fan and defo knows his onions about the championship.
I would appreciate it if he didn't speak over people so much on the BM podcast, that gets a bit jarring, but it is by far the best Ipswich related podcast about.
I don't know how one could question his support. He has been covering the club since long before his Championship channel or the BM podcast were things. He certainly used to travel as I watched his videos long ago that were nothing more than him reading the notes he'd scribbled during the match from his car before the journey back home. He's been at this for a very long time.

To be successful in this particular field you can't afford to bare grudges against people with a slightly different personality to your own. I was on the live feed of one of the Sunday night shows a while back, he completely ignored me for the whole hour and it really pizzed me off, the reason he acted out this strange behaviour was because one of my comments on a previous BB football show, i think he was guessing the scores or something mundane like that with his Mikey mate he took umbrage to, a bit creepy i thought. COYB.
