Body filled with intoxicants and repeatedly punched in the head for 30 years.

To be blunt about it.

The bloke had big struggles with depression and was really open about it. He did a lot for awareness too. Now’s not the time.

Mate just told me. Can't see it anywhere, but tragic if true. He struggled with his mental health massively after giving up boxing. A fantastic world champion and should be remembered as such.
R.I.P Ricky, you were a real Champion.

Incredibly sad this. Great, Great fighter. Always struggled a bit away from the ring but struck me as genuine guy. Always fought with a lot of heart.

See your point, but not really Chris.
He did a lot for mental health awareness and was very honest about his struggles. A brilliant boxer who made the absolute best out of his talent and heart.
A young man who lost his hardest fight.

I didn't know Ricky, not even a big boxing fan but sit here in tears. Knowing another human thoughts were in such turmoil that they sought a permanent solution to their pain is heartbreaking. I've been there..it isn't a good place

This was the post of an absolute div. To be blunt about it.

RIP. Was a massive Ricky Hatton fan, watched his career from very early on and I remember being over the moon when he beat Tyszu. He's really struggled since retirement as a lot of professional sports people do and he's been open about his struggles and an advocate for talking about mental health. Really sad news.

Thoughtless post that fella. And that's coming from me!

Not really a boxing fan myself but I liked Ricky and very sad to hear of his passing.

Such sad news. He was a British boxing great at his pomp, although he had his mental health issues he always seemed to come across as one of the people. Gone far too soon. RIP Hitman.

This is sadly worth 3 minutes of everyone's time.
I have a friend atm who is deep in the mire. He's refusing help and completely shutting down. He has a girlfriend whos at the end of her tether. He believes i think we're not on his side.
Absolutely awful.

Bumped into him years ago at Orlando airport. Posed for loads of photos with the kids, signed autographs etc. A great talent in his pomp and a sad end. RIP.
