Popped up on my YT feed!

Wanted to throw up, games gone.

Why would you even talk to them divs, that’s the entire point, we don’t have to, it’s what makes this game the real, we don’t work, talk or interact with each other, EVER. Well that was the way of it when I still lived in Ipswich.

I hope we crush them! Blue Monday staff has gone way down in my estimation!

The difference is that you are merely a fan. He is a professional broadcaster. He may not want to be pally with them, but for the benefit of his career, he needs to.

Luke Chambers was in a studio with Darren Eadie for a game once, how dare he!

And, no doubt, for all the puff and bluster for the benefit of both sets of fans, Núñez has remained friends with a number of his ex-teammates.

Maybe he's even asked some of them if they're sticking around after the game, and fancy grabbing a bite to eat.

Shocking.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Terry Butcher had a bit of cuddle with that weed Chris Sutton once.

OK, he didn't bother taking his hands out of his pockets, but he helped him have a little lie down.

He used to go to Carrow Road frequently and support the scum back in his school days.

Wasn't this debunked by Joe? I'm sure he has family that support them up the road, but that he's always been a blue. He's hardly alone in that, I have family that live up that way and some of their kids seem to have taken a fancy to wearing the puke colours!

In fairness, the TNC presenters are good on air ... their watchalongs are particularly entertaining when Norwich lose ... perfect schadenfreude.

Be under no illusions though, they loathe us ... Chris Reeve once passionately declared on their podcast that he hopes Town rot in L1 and never come back up.

He routinely refers to us as the scum and Jack never reins him in .... in contrast Benjamin Bloom is too sanctimonious.

He would probably throw a hissy fit if anyone on Blue Monday stooped to such levels which is ridiculous.

It's tribal pantomime, so play the game .... they're scummers ... albeit utterly harmless ones.

As an aside, it's extraordinary how both presenters of TNC rarely go to away games, they really are half and half in that sense, proper Norwich fans.

I don't get why anybody calls Benjamin Bloom out.

He's easily one of the most knowledgeable and likeable youtubers out there.

He got called out for never going to a game recently but i've seen him at games myself.

He gives balanced views and obviously speaks with Jack Reeve leading upto derbies as Chris Reeve made such a fool of himself in the podcast years ago.

If you don't like him then don't watch his content, there's plenty out there that do like his content alongside the Blue Monday stuff.

Funny thing about their "what a wonderful derby" after the 2-2 in our promotion season is that they couldn't see the bigger picture, which was that the wheel was turning and we were rising above them again.

I get that the old violent hatreds need to be binned, but I hope football rivalries aren't overly sterilised. I think it's healthy, especially for men with our heightened testosterone, to be prejudiced and partisan in our footballing life. Gets it out of our system so we aren't aggressive bigots in the rest of our personal life. The "othering" that comes with football partisanship adds a bit of passion and colour to life. Let's not make this only skin-deep, or we'll be on the slippery slope to half-and-half Ipswich - Norwich scarves. Just the thought is enough to make me nauseous.

Some people are taking such an OTT view of this match.

It's a game. A game for goodness sake. Whatever happens on Sunday, nobody's lives will be changed because of the result.

I'd much rather engage in friendly conversation with my Norwich-supporting friends and colleagues, than perpetuate any of the unpleasantness that many seem to think has to accompany this match.
[Post edited 3 Oct 6:47]

I have mates and colleagues who are Narwich fans who will be attending the game and I hope they have an absolutely terrible, uncomfortable, unwelcoming, all round sh*t day at PR with as much bother as possible, and a loss to top it off.

I'll go back to being mates with them on Monday morning. But for Sunday - I hope it's reyt awful.

Agree totally. I think he's an excellent ambassador for ITFC and football in Suffolk.

I once had a mate who claimed to be a Norwich fan. Studied at the UEA, lived in student digs in or very near to Carrow Road. He was offered free tickets for home matches from the uni, and he never set foot inside the ground, ever. But he was happy to gloat when they put one over us. Berk.

What a massive wet wipe
The whole day needs to be as uncomfortable and unpleasant for their fans and players as we can make it
None of this happy clapper nonsense

It’s only football mate. There’s more to life than rivalry with other human beings.

I love the back and forth, but we’re not 14.

Those guys are 2 of the most unbearable humans.

The one with the glasses was alright for a little bit, seemed like he was maturing but went back to being a weirdo.

That’s my point, I like Ben, very astute intelligent football bloke and represents us well it’s just I personally can’t stand those two chaps who inevitably pop up on feeds on derby week and maybe even more since Nunez. I’m pretty sure I’d feel the same if they weren’t Norwich! Didn’t his co-host basically put Nunez on watch for derby day?

BM give a nod and a wink to that lot up the road, these two chat absolute nonsense about us everytime I’ve ever heard them!

So I was surprised to see him on there maybe he always has done. I just wouldn’t bother associating with them, insufferable and Norwich, bad combination, of course he’s free to do whatever the hell he wants!

Perhaps the excellent Benjamin Bloom feels the rivalry just as much, but isn't half as childish as you or me?

Blue Monday is the cream of football podcasts from what I've seen.

I hope we crush the bastards too.

Probably and reading my post back it was maybe a bit OTT, I just literally can’t stand those two lol.

The language/style I heard on TNC after the Nunez transfer (I watched the entire episode for that one) would never been aired on a professional broadcast like blue Monday!

Ben does seem to be stuck between being very professional and fan sometimes but probably because he covers the entire league? Think he done a video for the Leeds playoff game at Norwich, it’s bad enough going there as a Town fan let alone in the home end as a reporter, couldn’t be me but that’s maybe his full time job now so good luck to him!

You’re right though they are pretty harmless but not people I’d jump on a preview show with personally whatever my gig was, although maybe I didn’t articulate it particularly brilliantly.
